I bought the True Radiance Eye Cream on ebay because of a rave I read on EDS. As a sample with purchase, I chose the GABA Freeze cream to try since it seemed to be the only product they offered without any argilerine in it. (I'm not sure about whether argilerine causes any sagging of the skin, but I don't want to find out, so I avoided it.)
I tried the GABA Freeze cream at night a few times, along with my other products, and noticed a funny smell when I put this cream near my nose. I didn't see anything special about it, and my skin looked a bit darker (or just not bright) in the morning.
Two nights ago, I was in a hurry to get ready for bed, and decided to try the GABA Freeze alone just after the DMAE serum and True Radiance eye cream. The smell still sucked, but what sucked more was when I woke up, I nearly fainted. My nasolabial lines came back, and my face looked dark and unhappy - so tired looking. Could this be caused by the cream???
Does anyone else have this problem, too? I am not going to use it any more. Last night, I went back to using Carekate's pearl cream, and followed with the Jason New Cell Therapy Cream I'm stil trying. My face was bright and happy again this morning. The nasolabial lines are gone (or barely there) with the cheecks right above the lines were the night before seemed to have lifted up again.
I wonder if I just got a bad batch of the GABA Freeze cream since it smelled weird.
ETA: Regarding the True Radiance Eye Cream, I bought it for my undereye fine lines. While the cream has not done anything for that, I can tell you that this eye cream really helps with eye puffiness. My puffy eyes from not getting enough sleep went away after a couple of hours of applying the cream. |

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the GABA cream. I personally have not tried it. I only use the True Radiance Eye Cream which has worked extremely well for me. I would definitely contact the owner of true radiance, her name is Aleta (look for contact info on the website) and she is extremely helpful and very, very good with customer service. I would be very surprised if she didn't offer you an exchange for a different product or a refund. She could also help you determine if you somehow received a bad batch or if this product simply is not for you.
Glad your other products cleared things up quickly for you |

Hi Fairlady,
I think it was your review of the eye cream that got me interested in it. LOL What sample did you try? I didn't contact Aleta because I felt it was just a sample, and it was free. I felt funny complaining to her about a free sample. I didn't know what could cause the smell to be like that. If the product went bad, maybe that explained the bad reaction of my skin.
Did you like the eye cream for the anti-puffiness? Did you see any result with fine lines if you have any? I'm still using the eye cream. I will continue to use it till it's gone because I like that my eyes don't look puffy when I use it. I have to supplement the moisture under my eyes with toner and camellia oil. |

Yes it was my review LOL. (but remember I was only raving about the eye cream )
Actually I still stand by the eye cream, at least for me anyways. I am on my second bottle of the eye cream and yes it really helps with puffiness. I like that it is light and absorbs very readily. I dislike heavy, greasy eye creams. At the moment I do not have much in terms of under eye lines (aside from the few light normal ones that everyone has) but I have had that dehydrated, under eye creepiness at times prior to using TR eye cream. Now the eye area is nicely hydrated and the skin is smooth and somewhat tighter. So for me it really works. But the GABA Freeze I have not tried. I was considering it (Glad I didn't try after reading your review!) but I really like the skin care program I am using right now and I just do not have the need for it. The sample that I received was of the hyaluronic acid hydrating serum. I really like it and will probably purchase it from TR when I run out. I did like it better then PSF's HA.
If I were you, I would still let Aleta know what happened to you with the GABA and the smell issue. I don't think a product should have an offending or funky smell - seems like something may not have been right. But I don't think I will be trying the GABA anytime soon.

Hi Cherisse, I also received this as a free sample, and mine smells fine. I think you should contact Aleta and let her know, it sounds as if there's something wrong with yours. |

Hmm...now that you mentioned it, I think the lines I have under my right eye may fit the description of crepiness better. I know it was caused by my rubbing my right eye a lot at one point due to allergy itchiness. It seems to get better if I hydrate it well with toner followed by camellia oil, so I'm happy with it. The Priori Smooth Lines seems to help make the area look smoother, too. The lines do come back when I wash my face. I don't know if there's anything I can use to really get rid of these crepey lines. I was just hopeful since my NL lines did get better. I just didn't quite know what made them go away. lol |

Ok, I'll contact Aleta. Thank you. How do you like your GABA Freeze? Does it help with whatever you were targeting? |
