I just received my MMU brushes from Lumiere. I had ordered them on the pre-buy sale awhile back.
I could not be happier with these brushes. They are made very well, reasonably priced, provide an excellent application, and they are super soft!
Anyone in the market for make-up brushes, I highly recommend Lumiere. |

Hi Fairlady - I am so glad to hear that you're happy with your new brushes!  Can you tell us which ones you ordered? I purchased the full Professional Set that was offered through the pre-buy special, but doubt I'll see them any time soon (I ordered the set the very last day of the sale). I also just read an update on the Lumiere site that says they didn't receive the full amount of brushes for all of the orders.  These are the brushes that they are short of:
Retractable Kabukis
Ultimate Concealers
Baby Bukis
Duo Fiber Optic Brushes
So if anyone ordered these particular brushes during the last two days of the sale, it's possible you'll have to wait until January to receive them, or request a refund or exchange. Here is an excerpt from Lumiere that explains what happened and what your options are.

I still am trying desperately to figure out what happened here as we are always very good at counting, recounting over and over - we only ordered what was needed and then we added about 50-100 on top of that for extra sales after.
We have inquired what it would take to get these extras shipped to us but right now because of holiday rush, they simply cannot get to it until after the holidays - this is not an option for us so......
We have decided to either refund, or exchange another brush that we do have in stock. We are not completely done with getting all of these brushes out as there were literally hundreds of orders on the last 2 days of prebuy to know exactly how many we will be short, I estimate roughly 100 people will be affected buy this. We keep crossing our fingers it will be less though.
Those of you who ordered at the last days will be the ones that we will be missing the brushes - again, I cannot tell you how sorry I am that this has happened, really I am just so upset to even have to write to you girls and tell you such bad news - especially know how very much you were all looking forward to these.
We will notify you and give you an option to chose another brush if you wish if you are one of the people affected by this.
Again, I cannot say SORRY  enough and really hope that we can get a little understanding as this was not planned in any way.

I purchased:
Full size Kabuki
Powder brush
Contour blush brush
Smudger brush (eyeshadow)
Push brush (eyeshadow)
I just love them & now regret that I didn't order a few other brushes I was contemplating at the time
I hope yours arrive soon - I am sure you're gonna love them
PS: Sorry to hear she ran short on some of the brushes. Hopefully she will get your complete order to you soon...It will be worth the wait. |

Thanks for listing your brushes, fairlady! I also debated back and forth about which ones to order and in the end decided to buy them all! I'm glad that I changed my mind at the last minute and splurged on the full set as the cost breakdown per brush is incredibly cheap, especially for the quality you're receiving.
It's possible that Lumiere may stock a number of these new brushes in the future, so you may be able to order the ones you didn't buy during the pre-brush sale at a later time. Even at 'full price' they are still an amazing deal!
I can't wait to try them myself and have my fingers crossed that I receive my order before the end of December!  |
