I actually really like this product...it feels like water going on, and does provide a lifting effect. But I will say that the SB formulations differ WAY too much from batch to batch...they can smell fine on your first purchase, and then stink like heck on the next (my SB Sebum Be Gone smelled like fish ).
To help round out Critic's very brief "review," here is the product info for people who may not be familar with the details:

Skin Biology Two Timing Tightener (DMAE Serum)
Size: 50ml (1.7 ounces)
Price: $29.95
(Contains: DMAE and Algae Polysaccharides)
Fool Mother Nature / Cheat Father Time: Double up now with the complimentary duo of DMAE and algae polysaccharides to firm and tighten your skin.
This potent twosome creates skin synergy unheard of in other products. Clinical studies show DMAE delves below the skin's surface where muscles contract to prevent facial sagging. In contrast, algae polysaccharides work on the skin's surface to immediately tighten the skin. The algae polysaccharides are carefully fermented to form Pepha-Tight® which has been proven to not only tighten the skin but also diminish fine lines.
As our DMAE and Pepha-Tight® melt on your skin, you will wonder how such a powerful product can feel so gentle. Try Two Timing Tightener alone or over any of our copper-peptide serums for an uplifting experience.
Ingredients:
Purified water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice (aloe vera) gel, dimethyl MEA (DMAE), algae extract, pullulan, glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, polysorbate 20, allantoin, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, tocophersolan (Vitamin E).

Critic, what were you hoping the product would do for you? Was it to firm up skin? I noticed that some DMAE serum can smell quite fishy. I have one which I could not finish. The fishy smell was too strong for me. |

The fishy smell is dependent upon the formulaton of the product. I'm not positive about the specifics but I think if it's more on the alkaline side - close to 10 to be most effective (known as an Amine formula) it carries a fishy smell. Fortuantley it dissapates. |

I was expecting some lifting effect from the product, but end-up I really can't stand the smell and have been using it once a while for 1+ year. Maybe I am not using it on daily basis, and that's the reason cannot see a good result. However, I do like their CP serum. |

Critic, I think Toby has raved about the skinactives brand of DMAE....I'll check with her to be sure, and also ask if it's smelly for you (I'm interested too).
Editing to Add:
I think this sums up Toby's thoughts, lol...

I was using my fishy smelling DMAE on my eyelids and was hoping for a lifting effect as well. However, I gave it two full weeks of daily use, and I could not stand the smell. I had to throw away the product. |

I recently finished a bottle of this also. Well almost finished, I had a terrible time with the pump from day one and with about 20% of the product left, it quit working completely. Normally, I'd take the thing apart to get at what was left (I'm kinda thrifty like that), but this thing was put together with airplane glue or something. The only way would have been to break the glass & I wasn't going there.
Anyways, it lasted close to 2 months, applying a small amount 2x day. If I could have gotten at the rest of it, it probably would have lasted 3 months. Paid about $30, so not too pricey...
Personally, I wasn't bothered by the smell and rather liked the consistency; it was easy to spread and apply a small amount, but I noticed zero lift or tightening effect. With the dispenser issue, I won't reorder, without that, I might have given it a bit longer trial as I would really love to find something that does tighten, even a bit.

TTT is meant to be used as a temporary cosmetic fix, not repair. I dab some on if I am going on a date or if I have a lot of meetings at work on a particular day. The effect is very subtle. I wore it only on one side of my face -- the best way to test any product, in my opinion -- and could compare the two sides. I probably won't buy this again. No problem with the fishy smell at all. I don't like fragrance in products. If anything, the only problem is too much comes out. It's like a gel and I wind up putting it all over the back of my hands, my neck and my face to use it up. I keep it in the fridge per Pickart's instructions.
I am now interested in trying Arctic Frost but the posts about it seem to be rather old with no current results. I wonder if that has DMAE also. |
