I know most of you know I'm a true believer in Jane Iredale, but here's another story.
Ever since I started wearing make up and having oily/acneic skin, I swore off blush because all blushes caused more and more acne. Even after I started using Jane Iredale I did NOT wear blush.
So, recently, I bought Jane Iredale's Whisper Blush . . . and my goodness, I CAN WEAR BLUSH NOW! I have 14-15 hour work days (with make up on) and the blush is fantastic.
The best thing is -- the blushes from Jane Iredale have gold flakes in them or something -- they "glitter" on your face (but not that prostitute-like glitter that isn't flattering). If you look in the mirror at mid-day, you can see your cheeks reflecting light in the most brilliant way -- a very "healthy" glow is the best way to describe it. Mind you, I have UBER UBER OILY SKIN (to steal a phrase from CareKate) and the Jane Iredale blush is wonderful!
It's amazing that I can actually put on blush now (and what a difference it makes to the complexion). It's just AMAZING the way the blush reflects light . . . it doesn't happen instantly -- let it sit for a few hours and then look in the mirror (or have someone take a picture of you outside). You will notice the "glow" . . .

This is one product I think I really do need to try eventually, thanks for the great review, it never occured to me there would be gold flecks in the blusher |

Me too. For years the only thing I could use was Benefit's BeneTint and really liked it. But the last bottle I bought seemed watered down and I couldn't really get it bright enough so that it was just the right shade after applying my powder foundation. Very disatisfying.
So I thought I would give JI's blush a try (also Whisper) and love it! Great color. And I agree, the sparkle is not too flashy at all. Very subtle.
(Too bad my JI blush broke into large flakes. It's like it got down to a certain level and couldn't maintain it's integrity. Either that or my cosmetic case got accidently slammed down or bumped during my last trip. But this doesn't stop me from using it. Just bit of a bummer!) |

I just bought JI Whisper today. I went for a MU consultation, for an evening event I need to attend in the near future. I was hesitant to buy it, since I already own NARS Orgasm. But I did buy it -- I've heard for a while that Whisper is JI's answer to Orgasm. I haven't played around with it on my own yet, but it seems like the Whisper has larger flecks of gold when first applied, but after it settles on the skin, it's very pretty and subtle and the flecks of gold are not apparent at all. I was loving Orgasm until I caught myself in the mirror a few times and felt that my cheeks looked too "bronze-y" with Orgasm. I am hoping that Whisper will work out for me in the long run. I love JI stuff! |

JI Whisper is a great complexion brightener! It's a very flattering apricot-pink.
I'm on to Alima blushes now and really love them too. |

I wish I read this before I bought mine.I was deciding between whisper and parfait, but was afraid that the sparkle would be too much.I must say though that parfait is very nice as well.Works well with my pale complexion.I love how natural it looks and how well it stays on |

Do all of the shades give that nice gold shimmer to it?
I just took a look at the colours and I think it would be very hard for me to decide what colour to get.
I was at Pure Med Spa last week to take a look at the line. I have no interest to go back to Pure, because the SA just ignored me, talked on the phone and then another customer walks in, took a seat and SA finally hung up the phone. I already waited 20 minutes!
Then, the phone rang and I gave her a nasty look. It was then that she figured out that I was tired of waiting to get service. Then I asked questions, asked her to show me the testers that I could not find, and only to find out that the testers ran out and no products to sell to me (the ones I wanted)
I don't know where else they are sold, but I don't want to end up driving everywhere and far distance to find this line. |

To Skincare.
There is an online store called dermstore(i can not give you an external link but i am sure you will figure out what should be followed after a dot)))
I use it for color reference because they guarantee that the colors shown are 100% true to what the product actually looks like. Now I know that monitors are calibrated differently but what i ordered from eds is exactly the color that they have on that website. So have a look.
Now,the blushes that have a gold shimmer are "Whisper","Flushed","Golden Apricot"."Cotton candy" has on the other hand a cool shimmer to it.
Hope this helps |

Thank you Irka. I don't mind buying one once I find the right colour. |
