For those of you who have tried both dermalogica microfoliant and epidermxII which one do you prefer? Are the two products similar or are there noticeable differences?
I have been using epidermxII and so far I am getting very nice results from it. Recently noticed a few mentions about the dermalogica microfoliant and was considering trying that one next purchase - So whats the verdict? |

I like them both! Sometimes I feel I need more of a deeper exfoliation and I use the Epidermix, the Dermalogica seems less invasive and I use it more often. |

I've used both as well, and agree that they are just totally different. EII is a scrub. Daily Microfoliant is an enzyme exfoliator. If you're getting a scrubbiness feeling out of it, you're using too much product/too little liquid.
I like both, but I think it just depends on what my skin seems to need and if I'm in the mood for an actual scrub or not. |

Hi fairlady
I've tried them both too, but have to say that I dont like either of them.
The Dermalogica microfoliant broke me out, and the Epidermx II....well I just couldnt see any results from using it. It didnt control my acne, fade my acne marks nor minimised my blackheads. I used it once a day then worked my way up to twice daily but even then, it didnt really do much for my skin.
I used it alongside the Chrysalyx too (which I dont like either)
HTH
BTW...I have combo skin, mild acne with premenstrua breakouts. |

Having tried both, I also concede neither did anything for me. |

I've tried both. IMO Dermalogica was a waste of money - didn't do a thing. EII is terrific! |

Microfoliant is awesome! I really wish it was natural but Its faster and easier than most enzyme peels and my face glows. I really wanted to love Epidermx because its all natural, but, my face broke out and became all splotchy and red. |

I've also tried both EPII and Daily Microfoliant. EPII is too scratchy for me to use every day. It's good as a once-a-week "basic" exfoliator. From my experience, it doesn't deliver anything it promises. I still have as many blackheads and my skin still feels more or less just as rough. Daily Microfoliant is too drying for me to use often, so I only use it once or twice a week maximum. I don't get any glow from it and my skin doesn't particularly feel any smoother either. So, I'd say neither one of these products works for me. |

Yikes it looks like a 3-way split: 1/3 like Dermalogical or both, 1/3 like epidermx or both, and 1/3 like neither.
I guess I will just stick with the devil I know (epidermx)
Thanks for the opinions ladies |

I prefer the dermalogica microfoliant....i did buy the epidermix.......which i never really got a chance of getting the hang off.......either i rubbed too hard or not much.......therefore i just put it away.....
As for the dermalogica........this is idiot proof for me......

I love them both. The DM rinses very clean and somehow seems very good against redness for me. I think the EII leaves more ingredients (good ones) on the skin. I will always keep them around. |

Do you mean less abrasive bugaboo?
I don't like enzyme powder exfoliants myself. I gave the Dermalogica Microfoliant a year's run for its money and won't be rebuying. Because of that I probably won't venture with Epidermix. I just didn't find any W W results and decided that it's probably a product more suited to oilier skin types. This product made me feel tight and parched after rinsing.
I love the MD Formulations Face & Body scrub. I've never had blackheads around my nose or acneic zits and I think they're kept at bay with this scrub. It's the 15% glycolic acid that's incorporated into it that helps.

stg, the epidermix is very different from the microfoliant -- definitely not as drying to non-oily skin. I would recommend to *anyone* that they try it -- and you can purchase a small sample from greatnewskin if you want, using paypal. |
