I'm adding PSF's BHA 2%. Can I still use this on nights I use a mask? Or is it too much? This is my first time using BHA. My routine is pretty basic - Dr. H cleanser and toner at night and a mask about 3x a week. Thanks! |

you can use it either once or twice a day - cleanse, wait 30 min., apply BHA (just turn the bottle upside down and apply drops directly to skin so as not to waste product). I don't use toner. If your cleanser is good - you might want to try using a microfiber cloth when you cleanse if you're not getting all your makeup and day's grime off - you don't need toner. HTH!
ETA: yes, you can use it on nights you use the mask, just wait 30 minutes after BHA and before mask. If your skin overreacts, skip those nights. |

What is in the mask? If the mask already contains high levels of exfoliating agents, then I think applying the bha after may be overkill; but generally 2% bha is safe to use daily. |

fab50, Thanks for laying out the timing. The directions didn't say anything about that so I've been using it right after toner. I've been reading more about the toner debate lately. I just got a microfiber cloth so I'll use that instead of the toner and see how it goes.
bluelily, I use PSF's Pumpkin, Acne Mud and Moisturizing masks, Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading mask and Dr. H Clay mask. So, I should skip the BHA when I use the Pumpkin and Neutrogena masks. That makes sense. It's easy to forget that BHA is an exfoliant since it's not gritty. |

I use mine 3-4 nights a week and am loving it.
It's all the exfoliation I'm using. |
