Sorry, welcome! It's called getting older! You deffo need to change routines
1 Avoid sun exposure. I personally wear spf 55, sunglasses and wide brimmed hat, but I'm looking into total uv visors
2 Avoid alcohol based astringents or cleansers. If you like the feel of water when you cleanse, use a balm type cleanser
3 Use a C serum, skinceuticles is good, but cellularskin do a much cheaper one which gets good reviews
4 Exfoliate, but don't go mad! Personally I would avoid retinol type products as they are very drying and I believe (but no one else does that they thin your skin). I also avoid glycolic acid peels, but that's just cause I'm stupid
5 Moisturise! you will get plenty of reccs here! I'm currently using stri vectin.
6 Consider taking evening primrose oil supps
I say all this as someone who has gone from really dry skin to quite normal skin and I'm getting on for 40, so I must be doing something right!

Yep, it's time to change your routine. And I would recommend pretty much the same as what Guapagirl has said already. 1) SPF is very important, 2) start using a vitamin C serum, and 3) exfoliate (either scrubs or AHAs) 4) moisturise.
Also drinking plenty of water and having a nice healthy diet is a plus. |

...but not essential...I do ok on guiness and pasties, though my expanding waistline means I'm switching to voddy and cranberry (well, it does have a lot of vit c in it!! ) |

Skin really does change while we age. Do notice that kids have normal skin, and when they reach their teen years, most usually get to have oily or combination skin. But older skin get dry. The best thing to do is to go for a good skin moisturizer, for the face and the entire body.
With old dry skin, we start to form fine lines and wrinkles. And preventing this would be using a good moisturizer plus lathering on a daily sunscreen. The sun's UVA rays causes this skin aging thing like age spots and wrinkles so it is important that we apply sunscreen like Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with UVA/UVB protectants especially as we get old!
As much as possible also, try to retain as much moisture in your skin. With your daily regimen remove harsh drying soaps and go for non-soap skin cleansers like Cetaphil that will not strip off the natural moisture of our skin.
I believe exercise can also imporve our circulation allowing oxygen and nutrients in our blood to reach our body cells and thus keep them healthy. |

I think from Cellex-C and SkinC I'd go with the Skinceuticals (because I recall reading something about better absorption or something along those line - sorry I don't remember anymore). The Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream is liked by many people who have dry skin so that might be a good option. I guess it depends on exactly how dry your skin is. |
