I'm having a dark skin near my lips. Its looks like some sort of pigmentation. I have been to many doctors regarding this but have come up with no effective solution. I have tried a lot of skin care products. They say its a hormonal change cause I'm 44 year old. There has no change taken place on my skin since 3 years. It still remains black. I have also tried a lot of home made products on this black mark but still of no use. Can anyone please give me a solution to this problem I'm facing?
Thanks in Advance. |

I had a slight dark area by my lip which was caused by electrolysis! I do have dark areas on my face which have lightened in some areas , I have been using vit. C, retin A, a lot of pricey products like Revive, not sure which one has helped but its gotten better...I know one thing for sure: olive skinned races like Italian, Mexicans, Asians tend to suffer from melasma a lot more. The main thing is "Stay out of the sun...it will make it a lot worse." This is a difficult problem to treat.I had it when I was pregnant since it can be hormonal too and then it faded after I gave birth. Melasma is a very difficult problem to treat,I have tried, triluma and epiquin Micro with not much success,it just made me red. IPL treatments did absolutely nothing(very expensive).I HAVE see a lot of success with obagi it seemed to really help melasma a lot.HTH |

I currently have darker skin tone on the sides of my lips. I went to an aesthetician and she recommended heat laser treatment. So I tried it once a month for three months and my skin color is slowly returning to normal. I could see the dark skin peeling and put PCA rebalance cream and skin lightener cream on to help heal my new skin. |
