i had 8 treatments all above 60 mj in a year. 5% improvement.
i saw a review by a poor woman who got burnt in fraxel and got scars sores beyond repair. she passed away two years later of depression.
Google this: Do not do Fraxel, ruined my face"
tell me if fraxel restore did anything to your indented acne scars and your skin please |

No, for me fraxel was a waste of time and created wrinkles in the chin area that were not there prior. It was all due to the incompetence of the person (it was her first one)and lack of familiarity of the device. She did it with too many passes on too high of a setting which caused my skin to swell/stretch and then lose elasticity in that area, leading to the lines.
Not a good experience for me. It did nothing to help any scars/pores or any positive for my skin whatsoever.
I do not recommend it but that is entirely based on my personal experience. |

I have researched this tons. IMO (and the opinion of PS's I consulted) acne scarring needs an ablative laser. I had fractional c02 for mine. I'd say I probably had a 25% improvement, which is about what I expected. Acne scarring usually needs 3-4 aggressive treatments. |

i consulted a derm, she said ablative laser punches visible holes on face, doesn't help much with pitted scars and may cause new scars
my scars are mainly on nose, she said ablative laser is not good for nose, higher chance to cause new scars.
she's a derm, she also offers fraxel restore and smartside in her office. she's in her fiftieth i think. her skin is obviously loose and i could see the poors on her nose from fix feet away. |

The holes are microscopic, you can't see them. I would definitely consult with someone else. It sounds like you have already spent alot of money on some thing that does not work for you. |

It might be advisable to try topical creams/oils and dermarolling before resorting to fraxel laser treatment.
It's also much cheaper too.
The reviews of Fraxel have been very mixed. And I suspect that the before/after pictures are often cherry-picked. |
