Hi Two to three hours ago I had my facial spider veins zapped with a laser. My face while no longer red has welts that are pretty bad. Is this normal? My fear is that I've been using a Quasar SP lately and that this was just too much for my face. When can I expect this lumpiness to subside. I keep reading that there is no downtime. No way would I go out looking like this. Thanks Marie |

A few years ago I had the same procedure done on a facial spider vein. I had no lumpiness or redness. I would check with the Doctor who did the procedure. |

Hi Marie,
I read from another forum that people experience the same thing as you after the laser treatment for facial veins and eventually the lumpiness or dent as they called will go away within a week. It probably happens when the laser setting is a little bit high, that's why sometimes the doctor will use cooling gel on the treated area. One thing you could help yourself now is, using a cooling sheet to cover the treated area.
For the next few days or even weeks or always, be sure to use sunscreen.
Relax, you will be fine. This is not something uncommon.
Please let us know once you are recovered. |

I had a large cluster of broken caps on my cheek zapped a year ago. I was left with quite a raised red batch for about 2 weeks. This did subside and eventually disappear, the caps were diminished dramatically. During the healing process I unfortunately picked away a bit and probably could have seen even better results, as it is I am happy with the result and they have not come back. I highly recommend using some sort of scar serum during the healing process. I used helicrythum(sp??)oil and am sure it is the only thing that helped reverse some of the damage I did while picking. |
