No, not that I know of. So far, I can tell that it does not cause acne.
I've also noticed that you are a fan of Cellcosmet. Are you familiar with Alchimie Forever? |

no, skincare, I've never heard of alchemie forever. I'll look into it. and yes! I am a huge fan of cellcosmet! lol. So far I have not broken out from them, but my derm told me to stay away from oils as much as I can. |

The catch is that Canadians can't purchase this line. They don't ship to Canada. I'm hoping EDS will get this line. |

I think skincare is referring to alchemie forever (please correct me if I am wrong though). After my perioral dermatitis (which I thought was caused by the rosehip oil I was using), my derm told me to use oil free products as much as possible. Well, I was fine using the cellcosmet ultra vital and eye contour cream, but when I started to incorporate my makeup the dermatitis came back a little then I don't know anymore! |

I don't think you would have to worry about oils in Cellcosmet. You could ask your derm again but they were probably referring to direct oils and if you check the ingredients of your Cellcosmet products, they won't contain any direct oils. |

bushy would hydrogenated vegetable oil be a "direct oil"? It certainly sounds like an oil to me. (In fact Crisco/vegetable shortening is hydrogenated vegetable oil. ) If you look at Cellcosmet ingredients it seems that many of the products contain this ingredient. In fact, it is often listed as one of the first few ingredients. |

With respect to Alchimie Forever, I don't know if it is oil free, I only asked, because that company uses the same manufacture as Cellcosmet. I think the shareholders are the same. Alchimie Forever is a bit cheaper. |

That's a good question. Is hydrogenated vegetable oil a direct oil? |

Hydrogenated oil is essentially an oil that has been put through a fairly high tech process which really transforms the original oil so it is no longer a direct oil.
The hydrogenating process is fairly standard but the degree to which it is done, and done properly depends on the manufacturer. I would not be worried about Cellcosmet using it as their manufacturing processes would be very good. |

If you are looking for oil free products to avoid blocked pores or shine, not all "oil free" products are that great for those problems. Cellcosmet products are extremely well formulated to have low comedogenicity which means clogged pores will be the last of your concerns. I had congested and oily skin when I started Cellcosmet and actually my condition improved during the time I used it. |

I completely agree. I was SO focused on finding oil free products and using only stuff that was geared towards acne-prone or oily skin, I stripped my skin and ended up with more breakouts and oil production. It took me awhile but I finally realized that not all "oil" is bad, even though I have oily/combo skin. Decleor YY oil is fabulous for balancing oil production...who would have thought that "oil on oil" would work? Same thing with oil cleansers. I would have NEVER have thought I could use something like that, but I do (for heavy eye makeup) just fine. |

It's not that I have oily or acne prone skin, quite the contrary! But my derm told me to stay away from oils as it may have contributed to my dermatitis. However, I don't know if I agree with her. I originally thought it was the rosehip oil that gave me the perioral dermatitis, but I've just started incorporating eyeshadows again, and the dermatitis is starting to come back Thanks for all your help ladies, and I'm positive I can stick with cellcosmet now at least So that cheers me up a little! |
