Hi, I am earning my EDS discount now, so please forgive my frequent posts...
I have used Amore Pacific treatment cleansing foam last winter and right (I have several cleansers going on the same time).
1. foam. It can provide a lot of foam, so the cleansing process is comfortable. The drawback is the foam is not very unique and tiny enough.
2. cleaning. It cleans thoroughly.
3. gentle. It is gentle, but not very gentle.
4. cost. You need 1cm for each cleaning, so it can last some time but not that long.
All in all, this is definitly a cleanser to try, if you love foaming cleansers. And it is among the best ones I have used. |

Hi, I threw away the box, I can remember several active ingredients.
1. it is an amino acid based cleanser.
2. It contains red gingseng extract.
3. it contains bamboo sap(?)
Anyway, it is an amino acids based cleanser, so it is safer than common Japanese foam cleansers. And you need some amount to get rich bubbles. |

My best cleanser-------LP foaming cleanser.
THe best thing of this cleanser is the feeling, the foam is so tiny and smooth that when you wash your face with it, you can barely feel anything, it is just so smooth.
In my opion, there are only two drawbacks, 1. a little drying and 2. it is not soapless.
Here is the ingredient list (I type myself.),
water, glycerin, potassium myristate, potassium laurate, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, potassium palmitate, potassium behenate, glycol distearate, PEG 150 distearate, cocamide mea, magnesium aluminum silicate, potassium stearate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, hydroxyethylcellulose, butylene glycol, pyrus malus (apple)fruit extract, petrolatum , cyclomethicone, dimethiconol, sodium hyluronate, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) extract, propylene glycol, gentian root extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, phospholipids, PEG60 hydrogenated castor oil, Na2EDTA, fragrance, benzyl alcohol, imidazolidinyl urea, phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, titanium dioxide, red33. |

A good but toooo pricy cleanser-- sisley mousse.
It can remove make-up, it can do complete clean, it is very gentle, the smell is great, it is not dehydrating, the foam is OK. Everything is saying it is a great cleanser. However, it is very pricy, and now sisley has raised their prices , and it even becomes nearly $100!!!, And it goes sooooo fast ,that in 1 month you can finish it.
I threw away the box of it, so I don't have the ingredients, but I must say the smell is from real essential oils. |

A very gentle but also pricy cleanser--z.bigatti gel cleanser.
I posted my review in the z.bigatti reviews.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=3621&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=bigatti&start=25
I think this is a good cleanser, it can thoroughly clean my skin as long as hydrate it. There is not so much foam. You will feel a layer on your face when you use it, and as you wash off that layer, your skin is clean. The bad thing is that it will take you some efforts to wash the layer off...
The ingredients (from their website) --
Mild Surfactants
Vitamin A
Aloe
Sodium Hyaluronate
Glycerin
Chamomile
Wheat Protein
Japanese Green Tea Vitamin E |

Hi, my skin type is combo, severe acne. And I am dry inside, oily outside.
I am living a cold place, so the foaming cleansers are good for summers, a little dry for winters. BUt foaming cleansers are usually very enjoyable during the washing process.
Sisley mousse and z.bigatti are very mild and can even hydrate your skin, so you can use them whenever. |

Then I can say that I think maybe this cleanser is not good for your skin. Here is why: it may be a bit too strong and make your skin produce more oil. What I do is use a more gentle cleanser with no moisturizer in it. Even when I was extremely oily.
I use Cetaphil gentle cleanser, but it is not strong enough to take off strong make-up. I used my make-up remover for some help, then Cetaphil.
If you want a prestiges skin care line, may I suggest Cellcosmet, La Mer gel cleanser and maybe AP oil cleanser.
To exfoliate, you may need Kate Somerville or Juice Beauty Green Peel or Cellcosmet scrub or something more simple like mixing Baking Soda with Cetaphil.
I hope you find the right method that works for your skin. |

I forgot to add that I have the same problem with my skin also. I really understand what you are going through. |

Thank you for your advice.
The reason why I used these expensive cleansers is that I sometimes got more acnes with some poor cleansers. I have tried many cheaper cleansers then got to the expensive ones (clinique, dr. hauskcha, biotherm, kose, et al).
I agree that some foaming cleansers are drying my skin a little. But LP and amore pacific are not so harsh, in such weather, I never feel dry. I only felt a little dry in winter times and I usually used some mild ones.
And I found that these cleansers can somehow clean my pores, the oil sticks in my pores keep going away. But I don't know which one is functioning.
But I totally agree that in autumn and winter , I will use a mild one.
Is cetaphil gentle cleanser causes blemishes? I am always afraid of something might clog my pores around the nose. |

I understand your concern and I'm sure then that the cleansers you are using are right for you then. In time, you will be able to tell if it does not work for you.
I agree with you about investing on better skincare brands, but not all high ends are great.
Cetaphil is a bit of higher end in drug store brand. It is not special product, very basic and some find it to be a bit drying. When I had severe oily skin, I even used this cleanser as a moisturizer! It won't dry out your skin if you are oily. Cetaphil is not fancy, just basic.
I'm afraid to try LP cleansers or moisturizers. I've read on the net how quite a few broke out from LP. |

Skincare.
I know LP is very shiny outside and not so good inside, and I don't want to try anything else besides their foaming cleanser.
I will try cetaphil gentle cleansers. Thank you.
Do you still suffer from very oily skin type ? If so we can communicate for some tricks.
Here are mines
1. a paper mask plus a hydrating toner or hydrosol is a very good way to hydrate skin without putting some more oil.
2. a good, hydrating toner can make your skin produce less oil immediately after cleaning.
3.The best summer time cream I ever tried is Orlane hydro mattifying cream. I have no oil with it and no blemishes came out, and my skin is hydrated.
4. If you skin is strong enough, try to use glycolic acid. BUt there are many precautions for it. |

Same here, I am trying to earn my discount rate, and I found that I really have to earn it, sometimes my posting didn't count, I really didn't get it, but anyway, I will just keep replying to postings. The most expansive line of product I used is Obagi, but I found it very effective. However, what should I use after Obagi? |

Please read your PM's from EDS staff. Hopefully this will explain what is happening. |
