RETINOL IS A MOISTURIZER, RIGHT? DON'T YOU HAVE TO PUT THE SERUM BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE?? |

You're using a serum? I look at it as a treatment more than a moisturizer. I believe you will get more out of the retinol if you use it first, HA, then a moisturizer. MHO. I'm curious to see what others say. Perhaps there are no hard and fast rules but my skincare manufacturer says treatments first. |

BH, I agree with you on the order of application.
dl, if you put the other products on before the retinol, I would think they would hamper the effectiveness of the retinol. I wouldn't classify retinol as a moisturizer, it's an active. However, I would classify the HA as a moisturizer. |

I use retinol first and let it sink in and then proceed with others - Copper peptides and moisturizers last. |

HA has to be apply with a bit A water that is why I wanted to apply the serum first?? BUT I want the full benefit of the retinol too. |

I've never used water with my HA. I either mix a little with my moisturizer or add the HA then the Moisturizer. What brand are you using? |

I just went and looked at the Episilk website and it says you can apply to the back of your hand and add a small amount of water, then apply. Using those directions, I don't see why you couldn't use your retinol first, let it absorb and then apply as the site states. |
