I read this research paper which lists Oleic Acid as very pore-clogging and i've been wondering whether oils like camellia which has a high percentage of Oleic acid is comedogenic although many has said camellia oil does not clog pores. Any clarifications is greatly appreciated.
The research paper link:(scroll down and see table 5)

Sorry but I have to call complete and total BS on that article. Just because some a**holes (oh excuse me, scientists) in the 70's decided that rabbit ears could be a good enough match for testing products for human skin does not make me a believer. The fact is this: rabbits are rabbits and people are people and just because there is a scientific chart showing that silicones didn't cause any clogged pores on the ears of the poor bunnies does not mean that that finding has any meaning for me--- as a matter of fact, silicones clog my pores like you wouldn't believe. I honestly don't know if products that are high in oleic acid clog pores or not, however, I can tell you that I don't think this article is worth much at all, if that helps. |
