Well,
Kinerase c-6 peptide serum was super good.
So I decided to purchase their signature lotion, without spf and it was my biggest mistake I've ever made. + very pricey product.
My skin type is Oily/Normal, used the product for five days(?) and my face just became a bee hive!!!! it broke me out SOOOO bad :'( still recovering from the damage... I had to go see dermatologist.
Just be aware girls, expensive products are not always good!!!!!! |

The Kinerase lotion is something I'd save for the winter when it's cold. It can cause breakouts and that's why I stopped using it on a regular basis. |

I had a sample of this line and I have to agree with you. I was disappointed and in DermaDoctor web-site, she really loves this line. I thought her picks are reliable but somehow this line did not agree with me. |

Tomato - sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction to the Kinerase. I did use Kinerase for some years and liked it a lot. The lotion is actually lighter than the cream, and usually better for oily skin (I'm on the oily side myself)
Really, as far as I know, the only "active" ingredient in Kinerase is kinetin, so maybe you could try mixing some kinetin into a basic moisturiser that you already have, for similar effect at a much lower price? That's what I'm doing at the moment and I actually like it better than Kinerase and it costs a tiny fraction of the Kinerase products
Also, if you mix kinetin into a moisturiser that you already use, you should be able to avoid the bad reaction you had - well, unless it was the kinetin that caused the reaction? You could mix up a small amount and test on your body maybe? |

I have oily, sometimes sensitive, very acne prone skin. I used the line for quite a long time. I began with the signature Cream coupled with Retin-A, then I tried the C-6 serum, the cleanser, the Lotion version, and the eye cream. I found that the Cream was way better than the Lotion, in fact it's my favorite in the entire line, and fortunately I never broke out from it. The C-6 serum felt great on but didn't do much to my pores or lines though.(btw I think AlphaDerma or AminoGenesis make better peptide-based serums/creams) The foam cleanser is very good for slightly oily skin. The only thing I did't like about Kinerase was the eye cream. It simply did nothing. Over all it is a good line, especially if you have sensitive skin and can't tolerate Retinol or AHA/BHA. |

I had a very bad reaction to the Kinerase Lotion once and I never used it again. My mom had first gotten redness in her face...kind of like a sunburn. She told me about it. I told her that there was nothing in the product that would cause that...that I know of. Sure enough, I chose to use it during the day instead of the night. I ended up looking like a lobster. I never used it again. |

Hi, new here!
I was put off by the price too but have been using the Lotion for about 7 months now. I have oilier skin and live in S. Florida. Initially, I had some small bumps on my forehead but after about 6 weeks these went away. No breakouts (other than my usual), nice refinement of my skin, slight fading of brown spots. I don't use a lot so I still have about a third of a tube after 7 months and I get A LOT of compliments on my skin, so I will reorder. The eye cream was a big waste of money, no diff at all. I am tempted to try the Peptide serum. |

Actually, I just ordered the Revaleskin day cream. See if this coffeeberry stuff is worth all the hype. Not as expensive as Kinerase, got it for $76 less a 20% discount on another site so a lot less painful than the Kinerase! |

That's one reason I always try to get a sample first. Even if I have to buy it on e-bay.
Sorry about the waste of money....not to mention the painful reaction.

I didn't like it either. My favorite is Agelessmoisture by agelessenvy. It has totally firmed my skin and looks much younger. |

It says for oily/normal skin. It broke me out. Didn't moisturize. Will stick to cellcosmet. Not recommended! |

I have fairly oily and acne prone skin and have used the Kinerase lotion on and off for a couple of years. I don't think it caused me to break out but I do have problems with breakouts periodically and always thought it was hormonal since it seems to be always in the chin area and around my TOTM. But maybe it's the Kinerase?? For those of you who broke out or had an allergic reaction how quickly did it happen?
Has anyone found this lotion to be helpful? If not, maybe I'm wasting my money...it is expensive.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good anti-aging moisturizer that does NOT cause breakouts and is good for oily skin?
Maybe I should start a separate thread about that. |
