I went to sephora to buy the clarins brightening serum and noticed that there was a little section on the wall dedicated to "fading dark spots" so I picked up Bliss Sleeping Peel Liverspot Lifter instead. I used it for the first time last night and my first thought was not good. The container is small and the product is runny like water...no smell and its clear. I put it on after I washed my face thinking that there was no way it was going to do anything. It started to sting and itch like crazy but I left it on anyway and soon the stinging went away. I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and thought that the product had somehow turned a lighter color on my skin because my acne scars were hard to see through the product. So...I washed my face....twice...no "hiding" going on here...the scars are fading that fast. I am BLOWN away by this product. My scars have lightened more in 1 night then months of using other products. I bought this as a second thought but I am just LOVING IT. I put it on this morning too...I need to take it easy but I'm so excited with the results. Anyone suffering from those annoying acne scars or sun spots...give this stuff a try. THey are usually pretty good with samples at sephora. |

So cool! I want to try it on my freckles now Here are the ingredients if anybody's interested:
ingredients> water (aqua), polyamino sugar condensate,
hydroxyethylcellulose, urea, ascorbic acid, alcohol denat., ferula foetida root extract, butylene glycol, ethoxydiglycol, sea salt (maris sal)
I love how simple it is. Thanks for the review! |

I wonder why this is more effective than a kojic acid/vit c type preparation?
Any science - heads here to explain those ingredients? |

This looks like something I am going to have to try. I hope they sell it at the Sephora here. Yes, please do keep us posted on your results. |

Can you use just on a spot or do you have to use it allover? It sounds kind of scary for sensitive skin though. |

Based upon this review, I just ordered as part of my sephora sale order. I hope it works for me, having a couple of light "maturity" spots on my face that always annoy me. If it doesn't work, I'll take it back to my local sephora. Worth a try. I never would've given it a look if not for this review. |

Just checking in...
I have been using this every night and have noticed that my skin is gettig very dry. I am peeling a LOT and my makeup is starting to sit on top of all the dry skin where I have been appling this stuff. I have cut back to every other night and have been exfoliating with a buff puff. I have noticed a significant change in my acne scars. They are much lighter because of this product. I am thinking of using a daily brightner as well. Any recommendations? I am interested in Clarins or L'Occitane. I'm thinking that by adding a daily treatemnt the lightening will to much faster. |

Bummer about dryness! Hopefully I can work around that. Do you think it can be applied to just the dark spots, instead of entire face?
I guess it's really not touted as a brightener, but Carekates Silk Dust gives me a beautiful glow, without shine or glitter. Much nicer than the Chanel blanc stuff, imho. |

I would advise ONLY using it on your spots not the whole face. It says you can use it anywhere on your body. I have been using it just on my cheeks where there are acne scars. It has been working really well. I think the dryness/peeling is to be expected. Now that I use it every other night and exfoliate the dryness is much better. |

Mine's on the way I have some deep dark scars in the corner of my lips from an over-zealous orthodontist...sigh. They've been there for 2-3 years now and they make me look so ugly ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

Is everyone still loving this product and has it worked to lighten freckles? |

To be honest the results haven't been huge, the difference on the first day was big then it's kinda tapered (And kinda gotten worse) maybe the pigment is coming to the surface? I dunno I may end up returning it. |

I've used it for about 10 days and Quasar Green / Red spot treatment after applied it. As Edenfield said, the spots got lighter first and then got worse. I noticed mine got darker 2 days ago. I'll keep on using it for another month to see if it worked. |

Darn't! I'm finding that it's really hard to find a safe effective product for spots. Looks like the search continues... |

i'm *not* saying this is happening to you, but it may be.... when i finally started reversing my darkest spots with retinal products, they *did* get worse before getting better. it was like they were brought up to the surface so they could be removed. the old adage -- no pain, no gain.... so take heart. it actually seems to be working for you! |

if you've looked at Obaji threads and/or reviews on MUA, a lot of people have stated that the spots get darker first and then start to fade. it just seems to be the way it works.... (mind you, i haven't faded mine completely -- which is why *i'm* watching this thread. but i've read an awful lot on the subject as i'm looking for my HG.) |

Skinbiology BND is getting rid of sun damage on my chest, and what happens first for me , is the spots get quite dark, then they just fall off. |

I did notice a huge difference on the first day and then they didnt get "darker" but just shiny or almost like I had put clear nailpolish on them...then they started peeling and they are much less obvious. Since the initial peeling I have not used it again b/c I have been going to holiday party after holiday party and I dont want my skin to be peeling off for all to see. Tonight is my last party for a couple weeks so I'm going to start using it again. I hope it works for you! |
