I have the mineral foundation in 2.3 Medium Beige, and the tone fits me fine, except it's maybe a tad too light. But the real question now is: is 2.3 a cool or warm tone? I can't really decide.....
Also, is it OK to use a regular bronzer instead of the warmth? It is quite tricky to apply, and one day, I had to wash my face and start all over again.
Except for that, I love this foundation, and my skin does too. |

Nemi...
I find the 2.3 Medium Beige to be a warm tone. I also use 3 Medium and it is definitely more of a cool tone than the 2.3 medium beige.
I agree with you about the warmth. It's a bit tricky, especially for light skin like mine.

I got the BE for my daughter. She also is the 2.3. I do believe the 2.3 is for yellow under tones. (Others: please correct me if wrong).
As far as the Warmth. My daughter is using the Jane Iredale fan brush. Perhaps also called the blush brush. I also use this brush. It is very nice and so delicately applies blush. I am sure other companies make a similiar brush. It is awesome.
I see no reason why you can't apply any powered blush or highlighter on top of BE. |

I'm back
I do believe application is all in the brush. |

Thanks a lot for the quick answers! I also thought it looked rather warm, which is all of a bit surprising, given that I normally can't go near warmer colours at all. My hair is normally dark brown (now bluish black with fire-engine red in it), and my eyes are dark blue/green. I look best in colours like clear red, light blue, og even most tones of pink, including fuchsia and baby pink.
But my skin has a yellowish undertone, and when I get pale in the winter, I look yellow, not fresh pinkish white.
Maybe I am one of those mixed types; winter overall, but with warmer skin? Who knows. But I definitely do NOT have the typically Scandinavian look (my boyfriend does; very blue eyes, light blonde, tans easily)...
With the BE foundation, I am using the BE short handle brush, which I don't really like, but for lack of better alternatives.... |

I always used the longer handled BE brushes... the ones they started out with and sent when you ordered their foundation.
Just recently I bought the Jane Iredale brush... I think it's called the foundation brush. Mabsy posted a picture of it on some discussion thread, but I haven't the slightest idea how she managed that so I won't even try. I love how soft it feels and although I had a little trouble getting used to it at first, I really like it now. In the beginning, it seemed to hold more color than the BE brushes did and I still sometimes have to tap it several times to get the excess out. I do think, though, that it's flat surface at the end gives you better coverage. It seems easy to go in circles around on your face for coverage.
I still am playing with using a very light dusting of the mineral veil even over the Jane. I just always like that sort of translucent look the mineral veil gives.

I prefer the JI Handi brush as well, I find it to be softer than the BE brushes and it's also easier to buff with it.
