I am out of the cleanser i was using. I want your expert opinion on which cleanser/moisturizer to buy. I am excited since i also have $50 from the EDS (yippiie).
I have normal to dry skin which is very sensitive and breaks out easily.
I am debating between Dr H's cleansing milk and cream, Yonka Cleansing Milk, or Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution.
In terms of moisturizers, i have used origins (since its all herbs). I am open to suggestions. |

Congratulations. I won last week. I was so excited. I got BE foundation for my daughter.
You are so lucky that you can get an awesome cleanser with your gift certificate. There are so many inviting products to chose from.

Strawberry,
I too have normal to dry/sensitive skin, and most skin care products make me break out into painful blemishes. But I've never had trouble with Decleor's Foaming Cleanser, and Orlane's Oligo Vitamin Smoothing Cream. Give these a try if those others don't work for you.

Hi,
I won 2 weeks ago and used my $50 to get Phytomer duo special, Face Dew and Hydra Continue moisture cream. Both excellent, thinking seriously about a Phytomer cleansers in the future.
I have the same skin type as yours and have never been able to use a gel or foaming cleanser. I love Yonka cleanser but if you wear make-up, espically foundation, I didn't find it strong enough to lift away all dirt. I have been looking into Dr. H cream cleanser and this is going to be my next purchase.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is excellent, as well as there sheer tint moisture.
Cleanser are my hardest find. I have a lot of trouble.
Let us know what you deceide!! |

Ummm thanx guys for the input.
Good going Winnie.
Alohagirl, Decleor's Foaming Cleanser, and Orlane's Oligo Vitamin Smoothing Cream sounds interesting. I like Decleor’s prices, have not heard much (for my lack of knowledge) about the Orlane’s O though.
Miss shoes, I am also looking into the Dr H’s microfoliant. I am just not sure if I can afford them all yet. Plus, I can be a bit lazy ass and like to keep the regime simple. If it gets too complicated I forget steps or just not do it often enough.
Mabsy, considering my skin type, what do you think should i get Dr H's cream or the milk? I usually do not wear make up, but when i do for evening wear i use foundation. Also i want a cleanser that takes off the water proof sunblock (shisedo).
For moisturizer which one is better? Decleor Aromaessence Neroli with Essential Harmony Cream or the Soothing Emulsion? Or Dr H? or Dermalogica? I feel so confused. |

Along these lines....
I am trying to decide between the Yonka gommage and the dermalogica daily exfoliant (basically need to do some exfoliation) Any thoughts? Thanks |

I love Dr. Haushka's cleansing milk. After use your skin def. doesn't feel tight but smooth and soft. It takes off my foundation, but the only problem is that it doesn't fully take off mascara (just the regular kind not waterproof). I always ended up looking like a raccoon after washing my face and needed a makeup remover (Chanel's Precision) to take away the rest of the mascara. That's my only complaint. Other than that it's a rich moisturizer and it's all natural.
dont know about the other products so I can't give you feedback..sorry!

Gaby - From those two I think I would go with the Microfoliant. Phytomer has a very similar product to the YonKa Gommage and I prefer it to the YonKa/Decleor versions (it's easier to remove and feels like it exfoliates better).
The Microfoliant and Phytomer Gommage Marin are in my collection of exfoliants and I would not be able to choose between the two unless someone gave me some specific restrictions. So.... what's your skin type like?
Strawberry - that's a tough one. I've got both and like both, but my skin is not as tricky as yours appears to be. I think both cleansers are slightly moisturising but the lotion is more moisturising (as you'd expect). At the same time, the lotion is not a deep cleanser and the cleansing cream is (or is close to that). So the first one might be good for you but the second one might also have benefit in terms of some deep cleansing and thus possibly preventing breakouts. The cream is gentle but obviously not as gentle as the lotion. Sorry, that's a tough call and I'm not sure what to tell you here. I'm hoping Leeleedeedee will see this post and reply. She's got very sensitive skin and she uses Dr H products.
I would say, however, that the lotion is probably not best for removal of anything waterproof (and neither is the cleansing cream although that's probably a better bet for the waterproof sunblock). |

Mabsy,
Thanks for the reply. My skin is dry and sensitive. (47 y.o.) BTW any reason you don't care for the Yonka product? Thanks |

Perhaps the Yonka might be the way to go then. I find that the Phytomer product is more exfoliating. It's not that I don't like the YonKa one, I just found the Phytomer one easier to remove and I didn't have to wash off as much.
Strawberry - If you end up getting the Dr H cleansing cream I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. It's one of my all-time faves (and that's a BIG call!).
