On 2/29, I had Restylane injected into my tear troughs and Perlane injected into my NL folds and marionette lines. It cost me - yikes $2K, it was my first time and she used about 4 tubes it seemed like.
When she finished, my entire face was swollen and full of red needle marks - even slightly bleeding in spots.
About 10 days later, I am relatively happy with the results - especially my tear troughs. My under eye indent lines are still there - but the entire area is plumped up and smoothed out -no dark corners or blue circles...it really took that aged look out of my face. I am quite happy with it. I suppose the only way to get rid of the indent lines is through surgery.
I am not as thrilled with the NL folds. In spite of all that she used there - it hardly seems to have made a difference. I don't think I will get it done there again - although she tells me that if I don't - the bottom half of my face will not be symmetrical with my eye area.
I hope this lasts awhile. The best part is that I no longer find myself staring into the mirror in despair. I now like what I see - I can't be 30 again - so this is the next best thing (I guess!)
When the filler has gone down, I may look into getting the Active FX laser treatment to tighten up my entire face and under the chin area.
I recently purchased a dermaroller - is there any harm in using over the areas that were filled?
Thanks, BF |

Hope you like the resty, it lasted about 7-8 months for me and I have the juvaderm now in my nasolabial and tiny mouth corner lines to plump them back out. Lasted over 13 months so far, love it. I had bruising and swelling with both, the resty was bumpier for me and not as smooth (can be the injector).
Just started the dermaroller this past week and I have used it over the filler with no visible damage so far, never thought about the fillers. I did have the bad results with using the Baby Q over it so I am glad you asked this, hope a long time user can let us know. |
