There is a thread about favorite coffee, but I thought I'd start a thread for those of us who don't drink coffee or tea. I personally try to stay away from too much caffeine. I really like the Aquafina Alive waters that come in flavors like Berry Pomegranate and Orange Lime. They also have antioxidants and vitamins without having calories, and it is water so it helps keep me hydrates. Has anyone else tried them? What are your favorite beverages (other than a strong drink at happy hour!) ? |

Oh, we are not listing alcoholic beverages?? I guess my list will be short then.
Honestly, if I could only drink ONE thing for the rest of my life, I'd have to pick regular old water. When I'm actually thirsty, nothing else will satiate me.
I love my coffee too (though I'm pretty good at regulating it to 1 cup per day), but I do have a favorite tea also. It's Tangerine Orange Zinger by Celestial Seasonings. Sooo good with a little honey in it. Consequently, Bobby Flay created a great martini recipe that I use this tea in. It's called a Zingertini. Delish!
And I gotta have my little half cup of OJ in the morning. I think the Simply Orange brand is the best. |

I actually don't love the taste of water, so I drink various iced teas throughout the day. Here are my faves:
*Fancl Green Tea Powder. These little packets of green tea powder are just so darn convenient! They taste great--- not bitter at all, and they are extremely healthy because you are actually injesting the whole plant, not just what was steeped out of it. I drink these at home, and I also carry them when I'm traveling to pour into a bottle of water for instant green tea. Unfortunately, the Fancl ones are sold out right now, but DHC sells some too if anyone is interested in trying them.
*Republic of Tea Get Clean red tea. This tea is caffeine-free, and it's supposed to be detoxifying. I love the slightly spicy vanilla almond flavor it has.
*Zhena's Gypsy Tea Acai Blueberry Iced Tea. Another antioxidant-rich, caffeine-free favorite. I make a big pitcher of this stuff and then sip throughout the day. The best place to get it is Kate's Caring Gifts-- if you cut and paste the following link (clicking it doesn't work for some reason...), 10% of the purchase price will be donated to a no-kill cat rescue group. Don't forget to use the code "EDS" for a 20% discount too!

My best drink is green tea, but I do take coffee in the morning, when I brew the coffee I add a bit a cinnamon, it's very tasty. |

Dleonard,
what a great idea - cinnamon in coffee. I will definitely try it.
One of my favorite teas is Pomegranate White Tea from Trader Joe.
Thanks,
Lucy. |

I forgot to mention another favorite I recently discovered:
Roasted Black Soybean Tea from DHC. It's a really nice drink + snack because after you drink the tea, you can eat the softended black soybeans for a protein and fiber boost. |

I heard of a lot of people who don't like the taste of water. I don't really understand. Victoria Beckham apparently can't stand it either. Do you like flavored waters? I'm just wondering what you would drink if you're working out. I admit that plain water can get boring, which is why I like to mix it up with flavored waters like aquafina alive...plus extra vitamins are always welcome! |

San Pellegrino! I can get a case of twelve large bottles for $12 usd at Costco and it's always gone pretty quickly . I'm also a champagne lover. I guess I just like bubbles ! |

I drink water when I work out, I just don't love to sit back and sip it while I'm relaxing, etc. ^-^ However, after I work out my favorite things to drink are iced herbal tea, iced barley tea, etc. I generally avoid flavored waters because a lot of them have weird artifical flavors or artifical sweeteners which I avoid like the plague.
I'm definitely a strange one when it comes to beverages. I actually hate the taste of sweet drinks and NEVER drink soda or even juice. (Ok, ok, I have fresh-squeezed orange juice once or twice a year.) Instead I just drink various teas all the time. Back when I had an office job, I used to brew a huge nalgene bottle of green tea every morning and drink it throughout the day--- even my Japanese co-workers thought that was a little odd.^-^ |
