My friend is a trader and told me 3/4 of the country's livestock has been sold off over the last couple weeks. Farms can't afford to keep the cattle. Stores have a surplus of meat right now (just got some Ribeyes for $5/lb down from $14) and in about 3-4 months the prices over anything cow related is gonna go through the roof. Its going to take the country about 2 years to get back to the previous herd size.
Just a heads up. |
