Okay, I have a GREAT boss!!!! She flew me out to Palm Springs, CA this weekend for a few getaway days of pampering and relaxing.
I had the pleasure of an AWESOME facial with a woman named Penny who told me that she felt that something I was using on my face was causing it to freak out. I had noticed that I got rash like bumps on my forehead and told her the products I was using - SC, Alpha Derm, vitamin C, super skin lightening, Jane Iredale makeup.........Well, she said my skin is on overdrive and does not know how to deal with all these products so it's rebelling. What my mission is now is to stop using everything and start with one thing to see what's causing the rucous. So, I'm just going to gently clense, use moisturizer and go from there.
Anywho, she used these skincare products on my face called "Epicuren". Have any of you used this line? I must say, my skin looked and felt fab after she was done. I don't see it on this site, and wondered if any you had used it and what your experience was.
And while I'm on a Palm Springs high.....I also had a wonderful one-hour Swedish Masage, a Pedi and a Mani!!!! What a treat for me!!! Did I mention I LOVE my boss??

Any chances of sending your boss over my way? Not that my boss is not nice (he's fab) but I certainly haven't been on a weekend of pampering!
Sorry, haven't heard about that line. |

that is a FABulous boss, wow! Where do I apply also! I was just in PS a few weeks ago. Was it that new Spa/Casino resort??? I walked around the casino.
I have heard of Epicuren but don't know anything about it?
What line of work are you in? I have never heard of a boss doing that, very special boss! |

I work in Human Resources and we just went through some very painful and emotional layoffs. All of the employees had to come see me for their final paperwork, checks, etc., and I was completely emotional and stressed out. There were tears, anger, etc. so I was a basket case.
My boss has a time share and happened to have availability in Palm Springs so she suggested I take some R&R and go! If you can believe, I resisted - b/c I have an 11 year old who just went back to school, and I was stressed about leaving her with my DH as he's been out straight, but finally I went and I'm glad I did. Had a wonderful time. VERY HOT!!!! I did lose a little bit of money playing the slot machines at a nearby casino.
It was the Palm Canyon Resort and Spa. That's where I had the facial and learned about Epicuren. Almost tempted to try, but I though I'd check with you pros first.

Maria, very sorry about the layoffs and such. I know that is hard.
I KNOW it was HOT! there end of August. Took our 2 little dogs because had no sitter and it was a blast for them. Caliente Tropics, caters to dogs. We went to the water park there, due to the heat the water was great!
So you did go to that casino too. I broke even I have heard of the PC resort/spa. We wanted to stay at a nicer resort (Indian Wells) but with dogs you stay where you can.
Btw, I LOVE massages, it has been too long since I have had one and I NEED one.
Glad your respite helped! Do you live in San Diego? I do, just wondering if you are close to me. |
