Hey all,...
Today I finally booked a facial and massage to use up a gift certificate I received at this local spa and I'm so excited!!!
However,..I have not used any of their products they use and do not know what to tell my therapist to use on me during my treatments (especially the facial)
Here are the products they use: 1. Skinceuticals 2. Murad 3. Phytomer and 4. Elemis
Heres the lowdown on me:
I'm 24, have combination skin where it is oily in the summer and very dry in the winter. Currently it is leaning toward the dry side. No wrinkles or crow's feet. Have a little baggage underneath my eyes and barely noticable dark circles (but i still see them!)I only have experience with "natural" products like Jurlique and Dr. H. What I'm looking for is a product similar to my cleansing/toning/moisturizing/mask ritual i have going with all jurlique products. I do not want to get "out of insync" and have a MASSIVE breakout which takes a week or more to clear up. I know that I will break out a few from a deep pore cleansing and i'm OK with that. I just want to have an awesome spa experience with amazing results. You guys know more about these products I've mentioned so I thought i'd go to the experts for help
As for my massage its going to be an aromatherapy massage for 90 mins (AHH!) Do any of you have any favorite oil scents from the listed products above. I'm not as concerned about the massage as I am the facial.
So u guys are the deciding factor into what i tell my therapist on what product i want used during my facial (I doubt they mix products)...no pressure!!!
jill
ps. and i want tons of replies! cause i never get any |

I don't know what to recommend but I will say it sounds great and I hope you really enjoy it. I have never had a facial at a spa but I am seriously thinking that its something I need to experience.Someone will give you some good advice. Sorry could not be more helpful.

Do you have to choose? most places I've been I talk with the therapist and my skin she has a look and selects the products.
Getting pampered sounds like a great way to spend the day. |

Hi Amesevey
I have not tried Elemis, but between the other 3, I second your "lean" to Phytomer - which is to me very gentle and my experience with it is that it is quite tolerant of first time users. Although Skinceutical's is a good line, having a full dose of all its products during a facial for sensitive skin may not be a good idea.

Sounds lovely, do enjoy (I'm *sure* you will! ). I would probably lean towards Phytomer as well although I do like a few products from the Murad range. I have not tried Elemis before and have only used Skinceuticals C serums and also sunscreens (both of which I would recommend). However I have many Phytomer products that I like, especially Gommage Marin (exfoliant) and Face Dew (toner).
Have a great weekend,
