You know those products you have your beedy little eye on for ages and finally have the courage to get a second mortgage and buy?? And then they turn out to be a TOTAL waste of money!!
For me .....I found Creme de la Mer a REAL disappointment!
I would also just like to say a huge thank you once again to those who have given their advice for my Vegas wedding in May. I have purchased stuff from the Guinot range as it has been an old favourite on and off and it is really simple to use. Also bought perfectil Platinum skincare pills. |

(YONKA) EMULISON PURE for me.
Expensive and does absolutely NOTHING. Hold on your blemish for 15 minutes. I would hold on them for 4 hours, if and when I removed the cotton ball the pimple was gone. DOES NOTHING. Waste of money and time! |

geisha,
I liked the perfectl Platinum pills too! They helped while I took them, but *alas* can't afford them all the time.
I thought the entire Revive line was a bust, esp the $600 plumping serum! Lots of better, less pricey stuff out there!
Congrats! BTW!

This is sort of a weird entry, because I didn't actually spend the money on it as it was a free EDS gift -- but Jurlique's cleansing cream was the WORST! I thought it would be similar to Dr. H, i.e. super-finely-ground exfoliating bits. But Jurlique had big gross chunks of stuff that clog my sink and make me feel nasty. It reminds me of the gross cereal bits that are left soggy in your milk after you finish the bowl -- so take those, and then rub them all over your face, and get little bits stuck in your hairline and whatnot. Lovely! SO glad I didn't spend actual dough on this, because I was totally going to. And Jurlique stuff is NOT cheap! Ugh.
That, and I got a $30 mascara by MiEssence that was the very worst formulation I've ever tried, ever. It was so liquid that it left droplets on your eyelashes that leaked onto your eyelid and into your eyes (and stung!), and it splattered all over your cheeks/sink/whatever during application. That, and the packaging fell apart. Lovely!
And lastly, Best Bath Store's $35 eye cream went moldy on me after I used up less than a quarter of the jar. I had them send me a replacement jar and I only used a plastic spatula with that one, but the same exact thing happened again. That's way too expensive to only get a fifth of the way through something before it turns, IMO! |

I had the exact same experience!
Also yonka juvenil and Decleor ylang ylang balm did nothing for me either!

Valmont - hands down the most over-priced, over-scented waste of money I ever encountered. |

Baby Quasar. Hands down. I'm embarrassed that I fell for it and spent so much. And I can't believe all the time I wasted using it. I foolishly kept telling myself that results were just a matter of time and that I should keep with it. Baloney. At least for me. May as well have sat there holding a flashlight to my face. |

Sorry but Z. Bigatti. Used it for 2 years and other than grape seed oil, hydration and touted by the View did nothing for my skin. At $600 for the day cream, night cream and eye cream a pure rip off. Occasionally bought the serum when I had extra cash. Did not understand ingredients until I hit 50. |

I agree, Z. Bigatti. It's been a few years so I don't remember what I used but it was expensive and did nothing special. After I used it a while, I started seeing reviews saying it wasn't worth it. |

I did get a BQ a while back, I think the results are minimal for the cost and I am just too lazy to keep up.
I do not have any severe skin conditions like sagging, fine lines, dermatitis or lesion acne... I realise now that high priced products which work wonders for others are 99% of the time due to the fact that they had a severe skin problem to begin with and the clarity they experience relative to my current skin condition is still much worse.... |

Oh, I must agree with Candy8865 - Valmont was truly the worst skin care product for me. I bought a number of expensive moisturizers and tried numerous samples. Did absolutely nothing for my face and the scent was intolerable. I know there are many who rave about this line so I thought something was wrong with me. It's nice to hear about other people who have the same experiences. We all want to feel just a little normal. |

I bought the Valmont Renewing Pack, it's not the most expensive product I've ever bought but it's still a lot for a mask. I have to say I was so disappointed by it, especially after seeing review after review of raves for this product.
I actually ended up throwing it away because it did absolutely nothing for me. |

I bought the Cellcosmet eye cream a few years ago which was over £90, granted it was 30 mls and not the standard 15, but I expected miracles and saw nothing. I really never give the product enough time to work however so probably my fault and I cant remember many products where I have actually got to the bottom of the pot and re purchased..... Ive gone back to the Elemis range now and am defo sticking with it this time |

Lots of wasted money over the years...one would think I would learn...but I always think the next product is going to be my HG
Well, the top of my disappointed list is Valmont. I have mentioned several times before on this forum that I cannot stand their products. No improvements and the biggest complaint I have always had with Valmont is the over-fragrance - ugh I feel a headache coming on just by getting a whiff of their stuff.
Other duds include:
PSF 02
Strivectin SD (seems a lot of us fell for this one)
Hydroderm (Useless waste of $$) |

Oh yeah, I forgot Hydroderm, which did nothing for me, but I only paid for shipping, so it was not too outrageous. |

Cellex-C. Tried this (along with a couple of other Cellex products) several years back to fade sun spots and reduce flakies. After 6 months of dedicated use, not one iota of improvement. |

I agree with those of you mentioning PSF O2 (water with a smell of swimming pool? I didn't get the point) and Cellex-C high potency serum (made lots of blackheads grow on my nose).
I would also mention two of the so called "Three little wonders" from Ole Henriksen. The Truth serum caused redness and small bumps, which happens very rarely to me. The sheer transformation cream - well, no transformation happened. It was full of cones and felt synthetic.
I got the impression that his products were far less natural than he claims. That is also showing at the ingredient list. I guess I was intrigued by all the claims about Hollywood stars using his products. |
