hello, So I have very bad skin and I just recently started to do something about it. I have dark skin and bad pimples and horrible hyper pigmentation. So far I have seen good reviews for Tazarotene and crushed aspirin to fight the pimples and photo aging. I would also like a skin lightening cream but there are so many mixed reviews. I had a very nice light skin tone when I was younger and I want to get it back.
So far this is what I am including in my stack:
1. 0.1% Tazarotene cream( use it every other night)
2. crushed aspirin mask(every morning)
3. sun screen
4. skin lightning product?( please recommend)
Is there anything else I need?
thanks |

Hi Minigister & welcome to EDS.
From the way you described your current skin concerns, I think you would be an ideal candidate for the complete Obgai Nu Derm system. My recommendation would be for you to hold off on purchasing any of the items you were considering and consider using Obagi exclusively for 4-6 months. It is tailor-made for many of the problems you are having (photo-aging, acne, and hyper pigmentation).
Here is a link to Obagi so you can get more information:
http://www.obagi.com/article/forphysicians/obaginu-dermsystem/beforeafters/beforeafters.html
You can also consider Obagi Clenziderm MD to help clear acne and/or Obagi-C Rx system for fine lines & hyper pigmentation.
Do a search here on EDS for Obagi and you will find that it gets a lot of positive reviews.
I am sure you will get many other suggestions to consider. The ladies here are very knowledgable & helpful. |

1. Did you have a mild make-up remover to remove sunscreen?
2. Are you using a gentle cleanser?
3. Do you hydrate your skin enough? |

as a beauty junkie and woman of colour i have used them ALL in terms of sorting out hyperpigmentation
and i can 100% say that hydroquinione is the way to go regardless of what people want to tell you about it if it was so bad top dermatologist wouldn't recommend it
you just have to get a very high spf while using it to combat any re darkening of the skin
i used the obagi claryifying serum its a life saver i really wished i hadnt suffered for so long and just used it all along ![Rolling Eyes](images/smiles/rolleyes.gif) |

On most forums a 'Bump' is done to move the thread topic back up to the first page or near the top of the line so to speak. |

For sunscreen, I recommend Devita. For everything else, PSF is really good. |
