I am so upset because the skin on my cheek bones and cheeks has become so thin and sensitive and I do not know why. I have been using CP's which are supposed to help thicken the skin. I specially have one spot where the skin is all wrinkled, red and very sensitive and dry. Please tell me if you have used a product that has made your skin thicker and less sensitive! Thanks! |

Biomedic, LRP, makes one. Someone I know who over exfoliated for years and had skin like tissue paper has been using it and I was very impressed. I cannot remember the name right at the moment. I'll go dig up some old emails and see if I can find it. |

Starlight,
Substiane is the product name. Thank you Havana for reminding me. |

The Substiane is meant for age 55+. I was thinking maybe Cicaplast Barrier Epidermal Recovery Accelerator would do the trick? |

The person I know using it is in her early forties. *shrug* I've heard that the Skingenesis contains the same active ingredient as the Sustiane. Might take a look at that line and see. |

I just had to look it up because it was new to me and I got a bit surprised by the description. But the rest of it sounds really great The one I mentioned was more for outer thinning and sensitivity, if that makes sense.

It does, Cadia. Thanks. Both look interesting and inexpensive in relation to other products. I was sure impressed with the woman's appearance after using the Sustiane. |

That ingredient, Pro-Xylane, can also be found in L'Oreal's Skin Genesis line and several Vichy products such as NeOvadiol Intensive Densifying Care and NeOvadiol NIGHT Crease Smoothing Densifying Care... |

I heard that Vitamin A helps and so does shea butter. |

You could look into using a Dermaroller. The Dermaroller thread on EDS will give you all the information you need. Since I've been using the skin roller my skin has definitely thickened up and my broken caps are now barely visible. I've been very happy with the results. |

I have read somewhere that Vitamin C has potential to thicken the skin. Also Hyalornic acid plums up the skin. Try Cellex C Hydra B5 gel, it is fantastic. |
