I'm so far really liking drybrushing my facial skin (dry brushing the back of my hands, for example, has made the skin thicker and I'm thinking this has to work on the skin on my face).
I've been using a baby toothbrush (tossed the Lancome and Body Shop ones because I thought they were useless. I should have just let them hibernate at the back of my closet like and catski and gigiab6 and pull them out now! huwaaah!!! )
Anyways - since I intend to continue with this and I like 'proper tools' for the job like that (you know, sharpened pencils and nice stationery for the new school year etc...) I was wondering what brushes you have used for facial dry-brushing and liked. I'm leaning towards this one by the Natural Source because I have been using their body brush and like it very much but I also like this which lunarmm recommended as well as this olive wood one , also from beautifulpure.
I'm open to other suggestions! TIA |

Pumpingmummy -in my opinion all the brushes you mention look very good for facial dry brushing even though it's difficult to estimate their stiffness from a photo.
They look similar to an old brush I'm using now that I'm very happy with.
Do you know if Natural Source ships internationally?
TIA. |

Septembergirl - I checked their website and the do, here's what I copied from their FAQ:
What is the correct freight charge for my order?
All orders are processed and shipped from The Natural Source Head Office in Australia, so if you are placing your order from any other country, this is considered an international order.
Freight charges, within Australia and internationally, are flat rates so no matter how many products you have in your order, you will only pay the one amount - $10 for Australia, and $35 for us to send internationally.
So, you will you always know how much you are paying for shipping, no matter how many products you have in one order.
Everyone is different, and we know some customers love the products so much they prefer to just get one product at a time (especially if they're running low) however, we know other customers purchase several products every few months, and the freight charge could actually cost up to $80.00 for an international order, however with the flat freight charge of $35, each customer will only ever pay the one flat fee per order.
www.thenaturalsource.com does not ship commercial size orders.

Oh and btw I couldn't wait so I went ahead and bought the TNS one haha. It's quite stiff, but I like it so far. It's unlike the Lancome and Body Shop ones I had, which were softer, if I remember correctly. This one stays stiff-ish even when used wet (with a foaming cleanser).

Does one necessarily need a different brush to dry brush opposed to wet brushing? I just got the nylon bristle facial brush from sephora to see if my skin likes it before I buy a natural bristle brush. |

I'm not sure, HannaLee, as I am fairly new to facial brushing, too. The TNS one I have are not natural bristles though they look it; they are synthetic. My sister is trying drybrushing using a Dermalogica face brush, which is nylon (I think) and softer but that's how she likes it (her skin gets easily irritated).
I guess what you can do is, like you said, wait and see how your skin responds to your Sephora brush. For all you know it should work fine for you.

i also use the dermalogica face brush, it's a really good brush and the bristles are not harsh at all. but i haven't used it dry. |
