Hi everyone! I have been browsing this board for while and have been facinated by Obagis skincare.
I am very intrested in trying this brand, but before I make the decision I would like to get all the info there is.
1) Whats the differences between Introductory kit(5 items) for 195$ and Normal/Oily kit (6 items)for 235$, except the price, Sunfader and Exfoderm?
2) I am asian and live in Sweden, where it mostly is raining and cloudy. I have some pigmentation on my cheek and some dark acne scars. I do not get that many pimples, but when I do, I get really big ones, and they stay for a long time. I usually get them when my period comes and they often occure on my T-zone. I have oily skin on T-zone and quite normal on the cheeks.
3) So what would You girls recommend based on the info I have given?
4) When I have reached the 18 weeks and cut down to maintenance I only use the active products 2-3 times a week. Does this means that on those days I do not use the active products I just use the cleansing, toner and spf 35? Have I understood it correctly?
I would really appreciate if someone could some time and answer the questions. |

luvan,
1) seems that the kits are the same other than the extra products you mentioned.
2) you would use the normal/oily cleanser and probably the exfoderm forte. You need all the products (steps 1-5) except the sunfader. You can use any of the obagi sunscreens, or any good quality sunscreen. You will get the best results using all the steps. Don't forget, you must use Retin A (tretinoin) cream with this, or you won't good results. You also will get better results if you add in a topical C serum to your morning regimen.
3) Once you do your 18 weeks and are on maintenance, you can use any other products you want on the days you are not using the obagi active products. |

Should I use a kit containing hydroquinone or not? or have all the kit hydroquinone in it, but EDS has not write it out.
I am thinking of getting pregnant in a couple of years and if I still use Obagis kit with hydroquinone (maintenance), will this harm the baby or the pregnancy?
By the way, is tretinoin and Retin-A a same product? |
