Hi I finally decided to join you guys as a member after being a visitor for quite some time! I was so attempted by a few products you guys recommended like AlphaDerma CE & Esther's Secret Face Lifting System..
Oh, here is something about myself. I stay in Singapore - a hot and humid country throughout the year. I am a typical asian with dry skin. I have always had problem with my under eye fine lines (or wrinkles?)and dark circles since very young. Have tried numerous brands of eye creams/gels and nearly desparate about the results as none of them really does work much about it. Recently I felt that my face started losing its resilience though I am only 33 years old!
Currently I am using Skin Ceutical Eye Gel but frankly speaking it does not help much (I have been using for nearly 4 month, twice a day). I was wondering whether AlphaDerma CE will do a better job?
As to the face firming, I would like to try Esther's Secret, would it be too strong for a younger face like me?
By the way, both AlphaDerma CE and Esther's Secret are not available in Singapore. How should I go about to order them? I managed to find a few websites that are selling AlphaDerma CE (4 OZ), the price indicated is almost half of the price as indicated on the Janson Beckett's website. Are they reliable?
Would much appreciate your advices. |

Isabel,
I can tell you more about the Janson Beckett AlphaDermaCE, Okusil and Mineral Skin Prep. I have been using the three products faithfully for five months. Just within the past two weeks I have become a sales rep. for the company.
First let me address Okusil eye treatment. Okusil address fine lines and wrinkles with 10% Argireline. Argireline is an alternative to Botox as it relaxes the crows feet and frown lines. You are young so it will also prevent new ones from forming. It also contains ingredients to moisturize the eye area. Just a few being: Hyaluronic Acid and Soy. Okusil is made to get rid of dark circles and discoloration under the eyes with Vitamin K and Horse Chesnut. DMAE, Collagen and Elastin will keep the eye area firm.
AlphaDermaCE also contains 10% Argireline to address fine lines and wrinkles and to prevent others from forming. What I loved so much about AlphaDermaCE was it's firming qualities on my skin. Soy Protein, Soluble Collagen, Elastin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, DMAE, UVB Protection of 15 are everything you need for a firm neck and face while protecting yourself from the sun. AlphaDermaCE can be also used to address stretch marks and sagging skin on other parts of the body.
Facial Skin Prep is a wonderful preparation before apply AlphaDerma or any other product you use. The Prep increases cell energy with both minerals and trace minerals of: Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium, Iron, Zinc, Copper. It also contain Hyaluronic Acid as a wonderful moisturizer.
Janson-Becketts has had three decades of experience as a skin care manufacturer.
As far as getting it to you in Singapore, I have sent you a Private Message with a Code for free International Shipping if you are interested in the Janson-Beckett line. Right now on the Janson-Beckett website they are having holiday specials. Check out build your own.

I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me if there is any pore clogging ingredients that they see with this product?
Here is a copy of the ingredient list:
Ingredients:
Demineralized Spring Water, Acetyl Hexapeptide 3(ARGIRELINE), Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Glycerine, Olive Oil, Oxybenzone, Soybean Oil, Stearic Acid, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Soluble Collagen, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Ester), DMAE Bitartrate, Aloe Vera Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Allantoin, Citric Acid, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Cetyl Alcohol, Simethicone, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth--20, Tea Carbomer 940, Imidazolidinyl Urea.
Can I put this over Vit. C during the day? Can I put this over a AHA serum product? Or would it be the other way around? |

Skincare I have seen Ceteareth-20 listed as comedogenic but it is so far down on the list that I wouldn't worry about it. I don't even know if this ingredient is considered highly comedogenic anyway.
Just curious, I thought you did not want to use products with "muscle relaxing" ingredients . Did you change your mind? |

I am confused!!! I don't think a topical muscle relaxer can do much for you. From all the reading I have done, the most effective way is Botox.
I am looking for a moisterizer that firms and calms the skin.
When I called EDS yesterday, I don't know how it got to this point but she said that Argireline has been proven to work and she mentioned AlphaDerma.
So this morning I'm taking a look at everyone's review.
I want to prevent sagging, firm the skin and it would help if there is something that can calm the skin.
BTW, I am also getting suspicous! I noticed that there is really only one person in both AlphaDerma and Cellular Skin Rx that is promoting their line. Is it possable that these are only staff from that company who is saying these lines are good? |

Skincare I think that everyone has their opinion as to whether a topical muscle relaxer can work or not. I have yet to see a well designed study that proves that they do work but have seen alot of anecdotal evidence on forums.
I don't quite understand why this product has Argireline which is claimed to relax muscles to reduce wrinkles and also has DMAE which is a firming ingredient. My understanding of the mechanism by which these two ingredeints work is that they effect the same things in opposite ways. So by using both together they would cancel each other out. Also, is this supposed to be applied to your entire face or entire eye area? I believe the products that contain muscle relaxers should only be applied where they can make a difference (crow's feet but not undereye, forhead 11s, etc.) and not to the entire face.
If firming is what you are after maybe you should consider a serum or cream that contains DMAE only.
I don't think that it is necessarily staff promoting these product lines. I have heard good things about both lines from forum members that I trust. |

Did you see the AlphaDerma web-site? There is a picture of and x-pregnant woman who has nasty stretch marks and major sagging!!!
Oh my God!!! I hope that never happens to me and I want to prevent that also. Could the AlphaDermaCE be the best overall lotion? For the face and body? Is this the perfect product along with Vitamin C?
The part where you mention that they cancel each other out does worry me...can anyone prove otherwise? |

Hi, I've been using JB's Skin Prep now steady for about 2mo. and can honestly say that I think it does help w/ penetration/absorption of products I use afterwards like DMAE and AHA. I'd def. recc. it. Maybe it's my imagination but I think my skintone has improved alittle since I've been using it. Combo skin, 53yo. |
