Does anyone have this problem? I always have this problem but it seems to be more apparent these days. I understand no products can be used except plastic surgery which I don't wanna go into.
So are there simple makeup techniques to disguise it? I know many ppl say to use eyeliner or mascara... but if look closely, I can still see that the crease on one eye is more obvious than the other one. What to do?? Pls help!  |

By crease do you mean the actual hollow area of the eye or the eye-lid crease itself? If it's the eye lid, I have this problem too..... I wake up and one eye lid isn't as big as the other, and the all-important crease is a big deal when you are Asian. 
But my creases change all the time, usually depends on how much sleep I've had.
I find lining the inner rims with a black MAC liner (it doesn't move all day) and a fine gel liner very close to the lashline makes eyes appear bigger and detracts from the lid. You can create the illusion of lids by softly contouring with neutral tone eye shadows.... so on the eye with the smaller crease you'd extend the colour a little higher and softly blend.

summertimegirl, thanks for replying. I'm talking about the eyelid crease not the hollow area. My crease on my left eyelid is fatter than the one on the right if that makes any sense to u haha
By lining the inner rim, do u mean the upper inner rim of the eyelid? Also, what kinda neutral eye shadow do u recommend in terms of shades? I'm asian too with fair skintone. Thanks! |

look for an asian product called "eyelid tip"
it's basically a small thin curved strip of tape
you place it on the smaller crease, and it will cause it to fold larger, you can adjust it etc until it's equal
over time you will deepen the fold you created and your eye will just naturally crease there |

Stardusty, are you asian? I am, and my eyelids have never been the same since birth. When I was a kid, some days I'd wake up to even single lids, and some days I would get double lids. Right now, my left lid is bigger than my right, and it starts big from the corner closest to my nose and gets smaller at the other end while the right one starts smaller closer to the nose, and gets bigger towards the other end. I just live with this deformity! If I want to hide this, I just use dark liner and shadows.

bkkgirl, my left lid is bigger than my right too. When I was a teenager, my right eye would sometimes wake up with the same size as my left. But as I'm getting older, my right lid stays the same throughout...in fact, I feel as if it's getting smaller. 
I guess I can disguise it a bit with shadows and mascara too but when I look closely, I can still see the different size of my creases. I really hate it. I feel that I look weird or something

| That happens to me too. I am half asian. It use to change alot but now one eye looks more opened and bigger and the other looks a little smaller and closed. I balance it out with eyeliner. The one with the bigger crease, I put on more black eyeliner on the top half of the eye and the smaller creased side, I make a thicker line. On the other eye I make a slightly thinner line. It really helps to balance it out. |

I have seen that eyelid tape online on some Asian sites. I am not asian, but have a bit of 'asian' formed eyes.
How do you apply these thingies? Does it bother you during the day?
Can you apply makeup over them?
(sorry for all these questions, but I am just curious and wonder if I would actually use these things) |

they're invisible in certain lights, though you might be self conscious of them
i cut them into half basically with a nail clipper, so i've experimented and only use as much as i need.
over time it's supposed to "train" the eyelid to just crease there..but i think that takes time.
you can put makeup over them. |

i know a lot of asian girls use them to create a double eyelid, and over time it just becomes permanent. so i have no doubts it would do that for someone who is just "enhancing" their eyes.
i mean if you're really self conscious about the assymetry it's a cheap, and effective way to fix it without surgery. you just need to be careful when you take them off because it's VERY VERY sticky! but I wear mine for a couple days at once. |
