I’m back, but as Yusuf said, I was ill for nearly all of last week and – as I’ve told you before – I only have access to a computer when I’m at work, and then I’m only allowed 30 minutes per day of “personal” internet useage so there’s not a lot of time to read everything and reply to everyone who needs me so I have to ration my time and respond to my PMs on a first come/first serve basis. I know it’s frustrating, but until I make my first million peddling my homemade skincare stuff so I can afford to get a PC to use at home, I’m afraid I’m stuck with it....
Google - I’m going to make you some more of the items you’re running out of, but I probably won’t be able to mail them to you until Monday so please try to stretch the stuff you’ve got left for as long as possible. |

Gosh you are good carekate!
Perhaps next time google5 could concoct his own potions? Most of the recipes are here in this forum and they end up being really economical.
I hope your migraines lessen. They are horrid things. |

ck- do you have any idea what triggers them?
I've only had 2 bouts that I would class as migraines, felt as sick as a dog, not nice I'd be a right miserable cow if I had them regular. |

I really do sympathise with anyone who suffers from migraines, my mother in law gets them every month and finds that having a deep shoulder and neck massage just before her period is due lessens them down.
I read somewhere that the majority of people who suffer migraines have suffered some injury or unatural stretching to the neck or spine, normally from when they were born and that frequent massage along with diet is helpful in reducing the frequency and severity of the attacks.
I found this on google:

Hi Rosebud,
As a fellow migraine sufferer [for over 40 years] ... I can attest to the sheer horridness of these things.
I cannot attest to the "neck injury" theory ... but I seriously doubt it. Migraines are often hereditary ... and while often triggered by foods or additives in foods, some migraines are the result of various weather patterns or hormones as well. We can avoid the food triggers ... but we can't avoid the weather or hormonal shifts that cause migraines.
A great deal is yet to be learned about migraines, their causes and potential treatments, but we have to bear in mind that research into migraines is relatively new.
When I was first diagnosed with migraines, the specialist said ... and I do quote ... "It's okay. You just have migraines."
In those days, it was considered a woman's problem ... and the treatment they prescribed was, of all things, valium!
When it was discovered that men indeed had their own brand of migraine pain, research began in ernest.
I used to get 6 migraines every 7 to 10 days ... until I discovered that sugar was one of my triggers ... and now I just have about 6 migraines a month. Not pleasant but much better than having one every other day!
Shoulder and neck massages help because a migraine sufferer instinctively tries to move their head as little as possible ... which causes neck and shoulder stress. However, with all the associative problems of migraines ... sensitivity to light and sound ... nausea ... vision problems ... etc ... the massages can't relieve those. And then there are are the "shadow" migraines on the day following a particularly vicious attack ...
The triptan drugs [Imitrex, Amerge etc] are a great boon and they manage to take care of 90% of my migraines ... but at least once or twice a year I have to go to the ER to get an injection of something different and/or stronger in order to get relief.
They aren't fun ... believe me ... I know exactly what Carekate went through last week.
