hello all,

my first messege here Smile

i am 27 years old
i'm doing on sunday for the first time in my life a low-medium peel -
it's a AHA peel + tca 25% (i now 35% in considered medium peel. but i'm doing 25%).

my skin problems that really make me misrable and uglying my face are -
freckles (not cute ones), brown spots form pigmentation uneven texture. old red acne marks.
my condition is not dramatically sever but - i defenetly have these flaws that make my skin looks 'dirty' and uneven. (i tried many products - bit c. aha, bha,, bioclear, retin. some helped a bit - but nothing the really showed any dramatic improvment or of course disappearing of spots.

wanted to know - has anyone had such a peeling ?
can it really make my freckles and brown spots disapear (i use high high spf every day) ? is the differeny dramatic ? i know it's not a deep or even medium peel, but i really hope to notice vanishing of at least some skin flaws...

thanks all Smile

Hi some & welcome,

You say you are 'doing' a peel. Is this a clinic treatment?

I've not had one done but I have seen some results. From what I've seen you can go from a dirty looking face to a clean looking face - not sure if that's the best way to explain it.

I'm not sure but to rid those freckles I would imagine needing to go deeper and hell that looks painful.

Maybe some of the other members can advise. Please do post back and let us know the results.

Best of luck.

it's a peel done by a doctor at a clinic.

he was very honest and said the peel probobaly won't help the red marks, but should peel off the freckles .
it's seems to me un-imaginable, since my face looking "dirty" to me for so lond (at least one side) that i can't imagine having it other wise.
i don't expect mircale anymore.. but i wish for at least - i don't know 50% of the flaws to really disapper...
i hope it is something that can happen in this life time Sad(

thanks much for the welcome and quick replay. really Smile

no problem, they've been running 'cosmetic surgery live' here in the UK - we're all experts now Laughing I've just started to notice sun damage myself but I'm not at the stage where I'm ready to go for a peel - maybe if it gets realy bad and I can have a lot of pain killers. Very Happy

What is the recovery time for your peel?

Hi,

I have had three TCA peels done at a dr's office one at 25 the second at 50 and the third at 70%. The third one I was off work for a week after as I had some scabbing. The peels made a dramatic difference in my acne scarring but not sure what they will do for freckles.

Good luck and if I can help further please feel free to email me.

I would try microdermabrasion ...with Epidermx! The results you'll have WOW, and it's relatively easy to do.

Are you an Epidermx distributor too? Another forum user is a distributor of their products, Sassyred, perhaps you know of her?

well,
thanks for your reaplays..

my tca % is 25%.
do you think i'll see really noticable change ?

i have also old acne red marks that won't go away + freckles (not the cute ones. ugly ones) + pigmentation.

my doctors said the red marks are probobaly WONT go away with that. but the freckles - will (because the skin is actualyl gonna peel).

but if the red marks will go instead - that's also a blessing.

maybe i'll do a laser in a few month (he said it's another option)
is microdermbaration is actaully LASER ?

i also for about 2-3 years tried to help my pigmentation with a lot of products , and never thought i'll really have a procedure like this.
but since i discovered cosmetic products can give only a monmetary brightening effect - i did this step, and i'm proud of myself , because there were days i got so so so depresses only looking in mirrors. it so much let me down.

i only really hopw this low-medium TCA peel will have an effect of giving me a really noticable clear face..

what do you think (people who had the procedure ? )
