As titled. I found that most MMU eyeshadows out there doen't last very long for my oily eyelids. Anyone has any success in finding one without using a primer? Thanks! |

I feel you pain, and I am looking forward to suggestions from the pros on this board. I find I have to wear light colors (which I prefer darker colors) because my eyelids are so oily and I have creases about three hours into the day. I do find that primers work, but I don't like primers on my eyelids. I also find that if I don't apply a moisturizer to my lids, the oil is better (better but not gone), but I also can not have no moisturizer on my lids, as they get really dry then and they almost hurt. Another trick I do is apply liquid foundation only to my eyelids) and dust powder on them before my MMU eye shadow, again helps, but does not eliminate the oils. HELP GALS! |

Try a cream to powder under your eye shadow.
MAC paints or L'oreal HIP make them. I have not tried those. I did buy Bare Necessity from MAD Minerals. It dries to a biegy powder and then I apply minerals over it. Or if in a rush I can just leave it.
I was using a Vital Radiance eye primer; a discontinued Revlon product. It could sometimes look dry and cakey.
This is the best primer for me.
Other companies also sell these cream shadows. I like buying from MAD.

I have the same problem as well, overtime my eye shadow on my eyelid started to fade away, I recently tried the wet shadow but do not like it, now I swithed back to cream shadow but I will try the primer to see if this helps! |

It is actually a cream to powder eye shadow. But it dries to a creaselike finish.
If you have L'oreal HIP cream shadows these are good as per reviews. (Not in Canada yet) or MAC paints.
This shadow works better than my primer:
Vital Radiance shadow primer by Revlon. |

Thank you, Autuumn95. I sort of remember seeing L'real HIP in the stores but didn't pay much attention to it. I will surely check it out this weekend when I go shopping. Thanks, |

Funny you mention L'Oreal HIP (high intensity Pigments) I love their color choices and this is pretty much what I use, BUT...I will tell you that this shadow above ALL seems to make my eye lids greasier than any other. (cheaper brands). No joke, I think it is funny that this was posted this evening. I just got back from my son's baseball game. (I applied my L'Oreal Hip shadow at 5:15 and game went until 8:00. The weather was breezy and 73 degrees. (so not hot/or humid). When I got in the car, I took off my shades and I had a massive crease of dark shadow about my eye. I used my finger to rub it in and my eyelid was a grease slick, I think I am going to start using something else, maybe it is the shadow...I thought it was my eyelids |
