I would like to know what is being used and in what order. There is so much talk of the all the different gadgets we are all using. I myself have the LED Light, the dermaroller 1.5, and a electric sonic dermabrasion brush and have ordered the vaculift;plus all the actives and lotions.
Can you out there give suggestions of what works, when, how many times, etc. It is all so confusing.
Thanks so much for all the help given here. I truly appreciate it as other I believe do.

Sherry, I think you are asking for a schedule?
How about if you start by listing what you have, and how often you are currently using it...then people will be able to offer some feedback. |

Yikes Sherry - this is like asking for four threads worth of information.... It's all so individual - what products work for who and when?
I know all of these things you've mentioned are great tools and probably choosing one or two to start is a good way to begin. I would never suggest diving right into a program with all of them...
the clarisonic is an everyday or almost eveyday use. Many of the others are less frequent use depending upon need. Especially the 1.5 dermaroller - that may be twice a month (I don't havae one of these big dogs). |

I use all of these and I don't have sensitive skin. I use the derma roller once a week, the clarisonic daily(morning), the vaculift daily(morning 2-4 min.) then apply additives after the vaculift. I am 53 and have medium to thick skin and my skin looks fresh and rested when I go out the door.But...I started each thing and was doing it awhile before i added something new. It would have be too much to do it all at once. My best friend is having to gradually adjust to the vaculift and the derma roller would probably do her in But she is fair skinned and blue eyes and very thin skin. So learn you skin type add things gradually and see how you react and don't over stress the skin.

Sherry, I think you have CP's, yes?
One thing I would recommend is not using them more than 3 times a week....you will definitely get the CP uglies, and it is NOT worth it! (I learned this the hard way)
Also, you need to use any Vit C at least 12 hours apart from your CPs because the CPs will neutralize the Vit C and make it worthless.
It is also recommended that you not use any active 2 days in a row in order to help keep your skin responsive. The good news there is that if you have a bunch of actives, you can rotate them. |

This makes sense, can you explain your skin regime? |

Thanks for your replys. I am so confused with all this good stuff.
I have rolled my face 6 or seven times. When I first got my roller about 6 weeks ago, I rolled 3 times a week. I quickly stopped that. Now I only roll once a week. I am thinking I should take a break from rolling. My last roll was very intense and today, tuesday is the first day with out redness since I last rolled on Friday evening.
I have only used my LED once since I receive this last week (Monday).
So this is what I have done. I roll once a week.
Everyday however, I wash my face with citaphel, then I use the sonic dermabrasion thing, with dermabrasion cream stuff for about 20 minutes, then wash that off with water.
I don't do the dermabrasion on Saturday or Sunday after I rolled on Friday. My face is so tender after. I Let my face dry and every day but Friday and Saturday and Sunday I use CPs and retin a product. I always use emu oil on my eyes and neck. Never Retin A stuff.
In the mornings, I wash my face.
I put on vit. c serum about 30 minutes before any other product.
I then use Maxtryl 3000, emu oil, ha, and sunscreen and smooth this on my face neck hands, and chest. Let that soak in for a while.
And make up as usual.
I want to use my light, and the vaculift. I just don't know where to fit it in. I will add these but, where? |

Here is my current plan:
Here is a link to a BIGGER version for people like me who strain to read the little words.

Sherry,
I haven't started rolling yet, so it is not on here. The LED is the very last line on my chart...you can see that I alternate areas every day.
My honest opinion is that you are doing waaaay too much to your face all at once....it sounds like you are resurfacing a road!
Why not concentrate on a few things at a time to see how they work? Otherwise, you run the risk of exhausting your skin from all the things you are doing to it, and it will look WORSE rather than better.
Example: You have rolled quite a bit, so why not take a break and let some of that collagen rebuild for a while? (In my scenario, I will be taking a break from CPs at the end of June, and will focus on rolling instead)
Maybe:
Monday - HA, Vit C, LED,
Tuesday - Matrixyl, CP, Cupping
Wednesday - HA, Vit C, LED
Thursday - Matrixyl, CP, Cupping
Friday - HA, LED
Saturday - Dermabrasion, Retin A
Sunday - Give your skin a break!! (just emu oil)
Unless your face looks very calm, I would not schedule the Botox until you are sure that the inflammation from rolling has subsided...you do not want anything to weaken the Botox, or cause it to migrate. Plus, if your face is inflammed at all, your wrinkles will be less visible and they won't see where they need to inject as clearly.
Just remember that your skin did not age overnight, and it is not going to change overnight either. If you overdo it, you run the risk of creating more inflammation, breakouts, hyperpigmentation, etc. which is probably NOT what you want.
BTW, I know very little about cupping or some of the actives you are using, so hopefully someone else will pop in to help you refine this. |

Bethany, thanks for the heads up. I will reschedule the botox. I thought so.
Thanks for the sample. I am going to give my skin a rest from rolling. That I know.
Thanks again. Anyone else out there that have any ideas I would love them. |
