I know there have been many reviews of this product and it seems to be that you either love it or hate it....I LOVED it! I bought a sample off ebay which lasted me 2 weeks because you need so little of it. Since I have combination skin, I only used this as my night cream. It is pretty thick and I would never be able to use it as a day cream under makeup, I think you would have to have pretty dry skin in over to pull that off!
At first I was a little unsure about using this cream because I do get occasional hormonal breakouts on my chin and I didn't want this to make them worse but it didn't at all! I even but them over top of my breakouts and it actully soothed and healed them! When I wake up in the morning after using this cream my skin is "glowy", I absolutly love it and will be buying the full size product as soon as I go to the USA...I do wish EDS sold it though because I don't know of anywhere in Atlantic Canada that you can get it but it will definitly be worth the wait! |

Hi jenw,
Thanks for your review!
Have you tried La Mer's The eye concentrate? If yes, could you please share your experience with us? Thanks in advance! |

Sorry, I haven't tried the Eye Concentrate, this was my first La Mer product but I was impressed and would love to try more from the line. The Eye concentrate does look appealing! |

I am interest in The Eye Concentrate too! But it is very difficult to get a sample in my city because the La Mer counter doesn't offer any sample to the customer. Too Bad! ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

This is wonderful proof that a product could be a hit for one person, and a miss for another (including myself).
It is good to hear that it works for you... |

I have tried Creme de la mer (gel cream). The salesgirl said it is suitable for combination skin, while the orginal one suits for dry skin |

jenw - skinactives.com sells the ingredients and instructions on how to make your own Creme de la Mer. I too live in Canada and have ordered from skinactives - great service and actives. |

I have used both the regular and the Gel Creme de la mer. The original one is too oily for me but I love the Gel Creme. I have been using it since last August. |

Glad you like it and that it works for you. I, too, am in the Like Cdlm camp. Right now I'm using something else for nighttime, but your post is making me miss Cdlm. I haven't used it in so long. I might snag it again for use during the day. I will add that I like that it's just a simple moisturizer, nothing in it, like acids, etc.
But, I ONLY like the original Cdlm though for it's the only product that is healing, ime. I dislike the Eye Balm, Serum de la Mer, all the other things Estee Lauder Inc. added to the line. I sampled several things and they didn't do anything for my skin. |

I'd really love to try the gel cream. I rarely use my pot of CDLM but whenever I do I'm reminded at how great this product is for soothing my skin and giving it a fresher look in the morning.
I wouldn't repurchase, for the amount I use a little sample pot would probably do me fine. Recently I had an awful cold and my skin was really suffering, I couldn't put anything on it because it was so sensitive. The only product I used was the CDLM and it really helped! |

I really do love this cream and I'm glad other people do too! Sometimes you just hear so many bad things about a product and you wonder if you are just being taken with it! |

Thank you so much for letting me know! I looked at ordering it there once before but then they didn't ship to Canada! Does anyone know if there is a place in Toronto that you can buy it? I have a friend that may be visiting there soon and I'm gonna ask her to pick it up for me! Thanks! |

Is it concentrated like serum? should we put a cream on top of it. My sister has oily skin and she used the lamer balm and it has been drying her skin off around the eyes. |

I like Creme de La Mer, but don't think it has a miracle on me. The thing that I want to try is the concentrate. Did anybody use that? |
