Which Avon face creams have you used and which do you think work?
Also which do you think are value for money?
Or do you think that there rubbish and wouldn't touch them with a bargepole? |

Hi
Your 3rd questions hits the nail on the head.
Go for a quality brand. Check out makeupalley.com for reviews on products. This should help.

I have used a few products from Avon before and most of them weren't bad but they weren't anything to write home about. There was one exception but they no longer make this product - figures! They used to make a vit C serum in individual daily capsules that you'd break and apply to skin. That was nice and it was effective. Then they started making the vit C serum in the bottle (a CLEAR bottle may I add! ) and that was completely useless on my skin.
The one thing I had always wanted to try from them (but have not been able to get in Aus) was their lash conditioner.... |

I have tried a few but have not found one that I could use in my skincare lineup. |

I actually sell Avon. And it is very popular amongst my customers. Although i have never been a big fan of their skin care range. I have a few customers who swear by their Anew range.
I find that i also sell a lot of the skin-so-soft range, which i like myself.
The shampoo and conditoner and not bad also the make-up is quite reasoniably priced.
It's just that i have never been able to find anything in the skin care range to suit me. Am thinking of going back to MD Formulations. But keeping with the make-up that Avon do.
What is your favourite avon product? |

I also sell Avon. and My customers swear by it. I have used their cellusculpt cream and it is amazing. I think it is a personal choice. You see Avon has no overhead and can sell products cheaper. |

I like the cellusculpt cream too. I read on makeup alley that their anew microdermabrasion cream is amazing! I'm tempted to try it.
I used their clearskin line as a teen and it was alright. Too harsh for my skin now. I do like some of their body products - eg. bath gels, hand creams, etc. |

Why were you lookin at Avon? For price or do you just like the company? Most people know that there are better products out there than Avon. Avon is like a minature Quixtar type company. |

I have been tempted to try Avon skincare products as a few of my relatives swear by them. However, these relatives do not have the skin issues that I have (acne, sensitivity), and I have heard that the skincare products are fragranced (which my skin cannot deal with). If your skin has no major sensitivity issues, then trying a few products couldn't hurt. I don't know if you could expect the same results that you would get from a different, more "clinical" (I don't know if that is the right word for what I am trying to say ) product line though.

I have been an Avon customer for years. As one said, it depends on the type of your skin and preference.
For about 2 or 3 months now I have been using their Deep Crease Concentrate and their Line and Wrinkle Corrector and I have seen some results too. Their ANEW line is what I'm using for most part.
I also have used their make-up line as well in my 20s and early 30s (I'm 42 now) and now I hardly wear make-up like I used to, however, their pressed powder is my all time favorite. The price is not bad either as far as I'm concern.
I am trying some other brand like Shiseido and Dermalogica too. |

Christine,
At #3 Rd and Francis in Richmond there's a lady with a little boutique that sells avon...I think it's called Anew to You. It's beside the cat care clinic, right near the pizza hut. My mom gets all her avon stuff there...She'll order stuff in for you if she doesn't have it. |

The only item I like from Avon is the Skin So Soft bath oil. It's convenient for me when I travel. It doubles as an after bath/shower moisturizer and bug repellant!
When I went to Florida for a weekend retreat in the Everglades during the hot summer months. This stuff saved me from the bug bites, especially mosquitos because they love the taste of my blood. |

I used to use the Avon clinical cream. I thought that it worked great, but was a little heavy. I don't really like most of the other Avon products, but that cellusculpt is a great rear raiser I am in the process of trying to find my next great cleansing regime. I love all the great advice on this forum. You guys are great. |

christine and aprilha,
The shop isn't all that nice...I'd never have gone in expect for the sandwich board sign....I do like that you get to see and smell stuff...and you don't have to wait a week or two until you get it! Instant gratification!
I only found out it was there a year ago. She sells some clothes and other junk there too.
Sounds like we all live pretty close to one another. I'm about 10 minutes from there |

I used to sell Avon.I've dealt enough with it not to want to use it-ever.Yes,their anew line is very good at fighting wrinkles,BUT here is my question to you ladies-how many(and how much) preservitives do you you think a product has to have to be able to have a shelf-life of 3 years?
I rest my case. |

I'm not interested in any Avon products but a lady at work sells it and there was a sales book in the staff room one day so I picked it up and started flipping through it and for some reason it gave me a sense of comfort! It kinda brought me back to my childhood...kinda like the Sears Wishbook I guess!! |

The only thing that I have liked is their Skin so Soft...insect repellent. But that doesn't fit into my daily beauty routine. |
