Just returned from a vacation and was so happy to find this post! I've been interested in the LH face disk after all the positive comments I've seen on this site
Thanks, Sister Sweets, for posting this! I think I'll treat myself to an early Mother's Day gift! |

Hi Sister,
Thanks for the recommendation! I had been eyeing the face disk for a while and am happy with my purchase of the special.
I got the light/pink version and following the directions was fun and makes a pretty, rosy cheeked look on my complection.
Haven't figured out if I can use the Aqua Elements. I've never used MMU (I know- where've I been!) and the light shade I rec'd is a tad warmer than my current fave foundation-- true match W2. I will try again. May need a kabuki brush-- anyway...
This is my first reply here-- so many helpful posts and topics at EDS. Thanks again! |

Welcome Kate - So nice to have you here. I've had my face disc for a long time but would love to get an updated version - for looks!!!
I understand that the Passports are wonderful - the South Pacific has been recommended by Scallawaggirl and she knows her stuff. That will be my next Lauren Hutten. purchase.
Beware - it can get a little expensive being on here. I've learned a lot too and have bought things I never even knew existed before joining on at EDS... |

Thank You for the Welcome Sistersweets (and the warning-- teehee!) So many goodies to consider!
The South Pacific set does look very pretty-- and practical since the powders and creams are separate. I may try a piece of stretch and seal over the colors on my disk to keep it neat. Or may not -- I've used it for several days and it isn't messy.
The Tortoise disk I got is very pretty and seems sturdy enough. It also came with a nice zip pouch that I'm using to keep the disk from getting dinged up in my purse. I'm pleased with the packaging and Lauren's approach. The application tips were helpful too. |

Yeah I've been eyeing the South Pacific Passport too. Nice for travel!
Do you know the current TSA restrictions re: makeup brushes and pencils??? Are they considered potential weapons of terrorism?? I ask because I was devested of my blunt tweezers before a flight - the attendant explained with a stabbing motion how I could use them as a lethal weapon. Hmmm I never would've thought of that! Whatever! |

blunt tweezers? grrr.
Tsa dot gov has a list and surprisingly shows tweezers as o.k. but I've heard that it depends on what airport you're travelling to... Didn't see anything about pencils...
They made me ship my brow scissors back-- I should have remembered those would be a no-no.
Maybe check with the airline before packing--
Regular mascara looks like it will be o.k. I never bothered about the oz. quantity but just checked the LH one and it's .34 oz.
Will you be travelling soon? |
