I bought this mask one month ago as I was looking for a mask to clean up my pores and help me with the black spots I get next to the eye area, chin and nose.
It“s a white mask, thick. You only need to apply a little bit.It dries up on your skin after a few minutes and you need to leave it for 5 minutes only and wash it out.
I didn“t get any major results until now. My skin looks a bit more clean after but not very radiant and the effect only lasts for a day.
Anyone can advise me with a good purifying mask pleeeeease Very Happy

Thanks !!

for black heads and clogged pores you should check out the OCM thread. many members are having great success with it.

black spots near ur eyes? i don't know what these are.

for skin radiance and rejuvenation i had good luck with dermalogica masks. i'm own many masks and love using them.

for eg Dermalogica Skin Refining Masque is a clay mask for oily skin. http://www.essentialdayspa.com/dermalogica-skin-refining-p_1497.htm

another is Dermalogica MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque. this one was great for polishing my skin and making it radiant.

All clay masks I ever used only clarify and brightens my skin for a day or two. I used Empreinte from Lancome and Argini from GerNETIC. Both very good.

yes, that's true. i have to use the masks 2-3 per week ... or more. and i noticed that you hold on to your clarifying and brightening effects from the mask, if you exfoliate or use the clarisonic during your cleansing routine.

Garden Botanika makes a great mask with activated charcoal, it really help my one son with acne yet it's anti-aging as well but like any mask you need to use it 1-2 times a weak to continue to see results! I love what it does for the skin.
I second the OCM it worked quite well for my son and I have used it for years!

Activated Charcoal is what they pump into people who overdose ect. it absorbs all the toxins! It does the same on your skin, it is a great purifier! Smile

OCM? What is it? Sorry but I only started to know more about good cosmetic brands and products lately so I apreciate all the help you girls can give to me Smile I really want to find a good cleaning mask and if possible a good anti-aging mask as well. Dermalogica seems a good option, thanks llina. Yeah, I get black heads near my eye contour, not black spots sorry.

OCM is oil cleansing method. there are a few threads on this, like this one.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=35524

you do it for your cleansing routine. many members are ridding of their black heads, and such. i'm sure it will get rid of your black heads near you eyes too.
its a do-it-youself... and the products that you use for it is very cheap... so that's a good thing. Very Happy

i'm sure angel is more knowledgeable about this... and sure she'll be around shortly...

angel, do you have more links to the OCM?
and will it get rid of the blackheads near the eyes?

i'm doing the tanaka massage for anti aging and general healthy skin. this massage too is used during the cleansing routine and it uses oil/or a slick product. i'm going to combine the tanaka massage and the OCM to get the added benefits... if you read up on them, you'll realize they are quite similar. i think these two methods are a great start... and i'm pretty confident they will eliminate most of your worries, as stated above.

just a note, some members are complaining that while doing the tanaka massage they have experienced breakouts. i started the massage in nov/09, and started more regularly in dec/09, and have not noticed any breakout. i use the valmont magic falls mostly, and sometimes switch it up with shiseido cleansing oil, lancome cleansing oil, and nude cleansing oil. we're all doing the same massage, and i really don't know what each member is using... but now i'm thinking it is the product they are using for the massage? not certain.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/valmont-magic-falls-p_635.htm

for masks, i've had good results with dermalogica, valmont, and sothys. i have over 30 new masks in the fridge and still have to go through them. however, if you ever get a chance to use or a test a sample of Sothys Desquacrem (cleanser) i highly recommend. it totally rocks! it is massaged into the face after cleansing... to get to the point, it is a shocker. i loves and got 2 more tubes. but try a sample first! (i get nervous when i recommend something costly since it is possible it will not work for them:? )

wouldn't they sell castor oil in the drug store there, in portugal? and you mix it will another oil. these are all ingredients that are easy to get... in stores. eg grocery store, drug store, health food store.

hold on till DM gets here. i think she' the expert.

angel, don'tcha think lisocas can buy the ingredients straight from the neighborhood store?

it seems that DM is missing in action. haven't seen her since valentines days. hopefully she had a hot date that still hasn't ended! Very Happy

i'm sure you can get castor oil at the drug store, and the other oil of your choice at the grocery store or health food store.

good luck!

I've got to agree, I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, and OCM (when I don't forget to do it) works great. Masks, hey there are different types of clays all doing their different things. Kaolin, white clay is the most gentlest and imo most inefficient. French green clay is the harshest in terms of cleansing. There are green, red, black, blue, kaolin, rhassoul etc., lots of clays. Some moisturize and revitalize more.

good to see you out of the lounge, zverenok.
have you tried the tanaka massage? i'm incorporating the OCM with the tanaka.

You can find Castor oil with the laxatives! I know but it's in most drugstores or grocery stores. You can find the cold pressed (better) at health food stores. Extra Virgin Olive Oil can be used and that is easily found at your grocer! I will see if I can dig up some links to online suppliers!

What is tanaka massage?

Regarding oils, different oils have different properties, and what works for you may not work for someone else. castor oil, is indeed the cleaning part of the ocm combination, what other oil you use is up to you. Some like jojoba better, it's an amazing oil, I have to agree. It's the percentage of castor oil to other oils that you need to adjust for your personal needs. Someone may find 15% castor too drying and harsh, and they may only need 5%. Suggest you try in small amounts, until you determine your percentage...

I agree absolutely! There are many different oils that people blend with Castor Oil depending on their skins needs. The percentage of Castor Oil is very individual dry or sensitive skinned individuals may not tolerate 50%! The thread linked to OCM thread addresses all these concerns. Very good point!
