I've only been looking at this forum for 2 days and I am SO CONFUSED so I'll take some advice given to someone else and start a new thread. I am 55 years old, just really starting to get a little sagging and lines (especially around my mouth.) I've had laugh lines for years but now they seem to be sprouting new lines. My skin is normal to dry, especially around my eyes in the winter. I really would like ideas for everything from cleansing(I now use those Ponds wipes) to moisturizing(just finished a jar of Lancome Absolue)to anti-wrinke treatments...oh yes and eye creams as well. I just recently bought some Vitamin C serum from a natural foods store and it gives no indication what the percentage of C is. You guys seem to be the best possible resource I could find so please give me some ideas. |

I admit that I am prejudgice since I distribute Epiderm products, but I highly recommend the Oatmeal bar for cleansing! (no soap) It is one of the best cleansing bars I have ever used on my dry-dehydrated 43 yr old skin. Epidermx treatments along with the new Ascension mask help!
Using jojoba oil to remove eye makeup is great, good for the skin and no tugging at lashes.
I have reviewed skincare for the last few years and used a ton of different skincare and tons at the same time and less on the skin works better for me.
Post back and let us know what you end up using! |

Just saw you started a new post. You mentioned a few different things other then you did in your first post.
After reading this one I will respond a little different. I have spend many hours on this board re: skincare. It seems like you have to start with the basics first. I also have been using drug store brand of cleansers and toners. After reading this board I am excited I purchased the Dr Hauschka products to clean, tone and moisturize my face. I think this is a great start. There are other brands out there also but Dr. H. seems to get rave reviews and an all natural product.
Also you mentioned a product with a good concentration of vit. C. The one I have found consistant for years is SkinCeuticles. I used Celex C but it was very drying to my skin.
As far as the AlphaDerma I love it. But, to be honest I think you should go one step at a time. I get overwhelmed when I start mixing too many products all at once. I find I don't know which one is doing me the good or bad.
Good luck. Keep in touch. |

I have to agree with Winnie that Dr. H products are a great way to start. For me, I'm not much of a mixer of products. I stick with one line until i tire of it. I have used Dr. H for 4 years now but recently switched to Jurlique when it was recommened to me by a Dr. H spa that was closed for construction. It is very similar to Dr. H in is basis of holistic skin care (au naturalle) which im very much into. Before I'd buy a bunch of products from any line, i'd go get a facial in that line first. Then you can decide how your skin looks and feels the next couple of days afterwards. I will warn you though, a deep cleansing facial of those two products will cause a mild breakout at first, but once it clears up your skin will look and feel great. Also a facial can be focused on your skin type so you'll know what products will be the best for you...
hope this helps

I think a vitamin C serum is a good way to go but I would not really trust anything that didn't tell me the concentration though. I would also make sure that the one I bought did come in a brown bottle to protect it from exposure to light. Skinceuticals, Vivier and CellularSkinRx would be good options. They all have slightly different textures so it depends on what you like (more watery or more "substantial"). Another important product would definitely be a good sunblock. |

You should try Tasha & Company...it's truly amazing for normal - dry skin. The skin line also address firmness and anti-aging. |

Hi everyone and thanks for the advice. I've decided to take Winnie's advice and just go a step at a time. I bought Dr. H's Day Moisturizing Cream and they also sent some samples including their cleansing cream. I just love both products. I will need a night moisturizer before too long and with a harsh winter right around the bend, need to keep my skin well-hydrated. I also get dry skin on my eyelids if I'm not very careful. I'm really intrigued by AlphaDerm CE and Epidermx and wonder what the difference is. At 55, any anti-aging action I can get is a necessity! I've asked Ian if its still possible to get a sample. I'm getting addicted to this forum and have passed it on to friends..you all are so helpful. |

I'm 48 and plan on fighting the aging process as much as I can! I use Arbonne's RE9 anti-aging line and have had fabulous results ..but the best results came when I started using Epidermx! Having been in an automobile accident 20+ years ago I had quite a bit of scar tissue on my face ...using the Epidermx has made those areas flat and smooth, unlike the thick areas they once were!
I'm always getting compliments on how my face looks (and that I do NOT look 4 ..and that makes me feel really good!

how often do you use the Epidermx? I think that may be my next purchase, either that or eye cream. After all the great things I've heard about AlphaDerma CE, I ordered some yesterday and I can't wait to get it. |

Naturally,
Looking at your signature file, are we to take it that you are involved with selling/marketing Epidermix? Could you please clarify?
TIA,
