I plan to use curcumin (turmeric extract) cream to get rid of acne and large pores on my skin. Wonder if anyone has used it before?

I found this product - PsoriaGold (http://psoriagold.com/site/index.php?index) and am impressed with the before/after pictures, but it seems expensive. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

It's funny that you mention a curcumin cream. I only knew that curry was a frequently used spice in the Indian kitchen until I read about curcumin and its benefits, both internally and externally, in this article from Smartskincare.com

http://www.smartskincare.com/nutrition/curcumin.html

Curcumin is the yellow pigment in turmeric, also known as curry. It says in the article that people could actually benefit from taking a curry supplement. It's not known to which extent curcumin is able to benefit the skin when applied topically, but it has got potential skin benefits, according to the article.

Please report back about your experience if you use the cream. I have been eyeing Juara Turmeric Antioxidant mask (but did not know that turmeric is another word for curry). It has got good reviews on EDS.

I'm curious too. I've never tried it but it's supposed to be good.

Turmeric is supposed to be an excellent anti-inflammatory spice. I believe some evidence suggests that turmeric can play a role in preventing Alzheimer's Disease.

Of course, that doesn't help your acne. But since it's anti-inflammatory kinda makes sense.

You can opt to skip the turmeric, let Alzheimer's develop, and forget about the acne. Embarassed

actually from where I come, turmeric and yogurt masks are so popular for acne, and some ladies I know mix some turmeric with an oil usually olive oil or almond and slather it on their body for an hour or 2 before a bath to remove a tan , or old acne marks , and yes it works , and yes its mesey Very Happy

forgot to add , some people I know really did have results like the before and after pictures on the site,if it wasn't so messy I would keep doing it my self, note if you want to try this out at home , curcumin powder is not really that yellow and does not stain your skin if it is does then it has some saffron mixed in
