This S.H. product is the best one ole Sally has brought to the table, which I know isn't saying a whole lot. Admittedly, I was doubtful when I tried this product. I have had no luck with the line's other nail polishes or treatments in the past.
On a whim I bought the S.H. Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Top + Base Coat and the Diamond Strength nail color in Princess Pink. I applied as per directions, the base/top coat, the color twice, and then the base/top again. I noticed the color was nice. Not obnoxious, but still making my nails appear taken-care of. I get happy when nail polish doesn't look tacky.
Anyway, the awful truth is that the polish didn't even start to chip until day 4. And that was just a teensy bit of flaking at the tips (and the color being so pale I couldn't even tell). Most nail polish lasts me 2 days, max, from the time I've polished it. Normal Sally Hansen stuff? Probably about 45 minutes.
I'm impressed with this product. Best drugstore polish I've found for wear and tear. I've heard it works great without the base/top coat, but I always one with all of my polishes so I don't know.
I got mine at Walgreens for a little less than $5 a bottle. |

I think Sally Hansen nail polishes are far too overlooked! We usually reach for the pricey stuff because we assume it'll be better, but that's not always the case. I love the Sally Opal Glazes for a sheer wash of iridescent color (I get A LOT of compliments when I use an Opal glaze), and even just the cheap Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear colors. The latter is fantastic. It dries to a shiny, vinyl finish. I can stretch it out to a week with a few minor touch ups.
That being said, I still cannot resist the kitschy names and colors OPI usually comes out with... |

I used to work in a pharmacy and Pauline Hansen was popular.
The best one was probably Herome nail hardener. You have to apply one layer per day for 5 days.
Customers and staff swear by it. |

Harmonster, I've tried that one too and was impressed. I'm tough on my nails and SH held up a lot longer than I expected.
But I have to say I have Chanel on my toes and this pedicure is going on 3 weeks and it still looks awesome!! |
