Hello to all fellow Cosmetic and Beauty Lovers!
I have never written a review on any specific product before, but since I am OBSESSED! with anything that includes the word "Plumper/Volume", I will share my opinion in hope that it would help someone else to make an informed decision. I have tried and own the whole lot: Sovage Lip plumper, DuWop LipVenom, TooFaced Lip Injection, TooFaced Lip Injection Extreme,ModelCo,Pout's PoutPlump - Not to mention all the other lotions and potions that claim to volumize lips instantly and over time. I think the only other popular one I haven't tried is Lip Explosion...Out of all that I have mentioned and tried...(DRUMROLL...)Fusion Beauty's LipFusion and LipFusion XL in my opinion is the BEST ladies! I don't have thin lips in general, just developed this obsession as a hobby...If you really have thin lips, don't expect ANY lip plumper to volumize, plump or blow up your lips like Angelina Jolie's (sorry, she's the best example...) If you want such a drastic reaction or look, then Restylene injections or Lip augementation is the only way you will achieve this. I have permanent makeup on my lips so I only use glosses. Lip Fusion Regular really does plump the lips more than any lip plumper I've experienced. It also brings out the color of my permenant makeup lip color. Lipfusion XL I really liked more because of the minty smell and taste and also for it's moisturising benefits. I wouldn't say it Doubles the plump but I did find that the fine lines are smoothed out and lips appear fuller after having used it as a night time treatment. I do recommend using LipFusion Regular and LipFusion XL TOGETHER , it definately makes a significant difference in lip line and lips itself. I use Kiss color in the regular, apply XL first and then regular over for a nice shimmery gloss. Yes they are pricey plumpers, but when you're a Cosmetic addict...you'll pay anything...I also like to experiment with different creams and glosses etc it's NICE! I'm very excited to hear that EDS is getting LiftFusion and GlowFusion. I am definately trying both these new products. Fusion Beauty's products deliver in my opinion! It will be summer in South-Africa soon so if the GlowFusion works that will be a bonus, aaaagghhhh...the neverending search for the Ideal Self Tanner that works might stop here....Anyhoo ladies, I hope I have helped someone out there decide...
Lot's of Loves from:A Very Satisfied Fusion Beauty User all the way from South-Africa!!XX |

Welcome to the forum Livie I agree with you - Lip Fusion and Lip Fusion XL are my favourite plumpers too (and goodness knows I've tried 'em all!!). You should check out the "Eureka I've found the Ultimate Lip Plumper" thread for more details on that little extra 'umph' we use to get the most out of our plumpers |

Wow I definitely have to to get the LipFusion XL then! I wasn't 100% sure about getting this when it first came out as it had really mixed reviews on MUA. But it sounds great! |

Hi, Livie! Welcome! I have a question for you: Did the permanent makeup hurt, and was it expensive? I'd like to do lips. I don't think I'd do anything else, but I'd like to darken my lipcolor without changing the actual color. Just another thing on my "I'd like to do list!" |

Hi Tosca,
Well there are people who have lips done without any anaesthetic, but for me it didn't hurt at all with anaesthetic. The lady who does it for me is in a Dentist practice so she calls the Mouth Hygenist over and she injects your lips inside your mouth. About 4-6 injections depending. It's not painful, a little sting and then your mouth goes numb. Aftterwards, your lips feel sensitive, a little burny, but that's it. It will of course swell up like way out Angelina Jolie lips, like even bigger than hers... but it gives you an indication that if your lips were too plumped you would really look like a fool...the swelling will be down by the evening..Then you get fine scabbing on your lips, which you SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT PICK or RUB!!! After about 2 weeks, your scabs will be off and your pigment color will be the permananent color your lips will be.
It's very very dark after she's just done it obviously so don't go on that color...
I hope I helped answering your question! Do it, i'm not sorry, you can also let your lips look fuller via permanent makeup by outlining your mouth or doing a full lip from the line outside your mouth shape. Good luck!! Liviexx |

I've done a search on here and have not read a review of the new advanced formula of city lips. I love love love the original and have posted pics in the past to show it works. Wondering if the new one is indeed better.
From what I've read, they use the original technology and also added the "lipfusion" technology with helping the already existing HA in your lips to swell. I've ordered some and will report back. I will also use the HA caps with and without to see if there is a difference there.
If anyone has used the new version, please share.

My aunt and cousin have permanent makeup but only my aunt got her lips done. They are almost a hot pink and WAY too much for me. I asked my cousin about what you want, since my lips are naturally very pale and I just want a bit more color so that I don't look ill when I go without lipstick/gloss, but she told me that the lady that does this wouldn't touch anyone that had nice lips already (regardless of their color). She said it just doesn't look all that natural and doesn't want it to take away from them. Now, I'm not saying Livie didn't have nice lips already, and no offense, I just wanted to relay what my cousin was told. Besides, this tatoo artist was only speaking of trying to make your natural lips a bit darker and realistic. She'll do a color (to look like lipstick) on anyone.
Livie - Did you get an actual color on your lips, or something to be just slightly darker than your natural color? I'd be interested to know if anyone can actually achieve a natural look with this. Thanks! |

I LOVE lipfusion. I dare say more than city lips which I loved...but lost. I have the clear one and I just bought the color "summer" yesterday and I really like it. Not too red and not too pink just a nice flush for my lips. |

Thanks, Livie and TAMgirl. (Somehow I lost my watch on this thread, so I'm just finding your anssers.) I'll probably do a little more checking into it, then. I do have nice lips, and I don't want to ruin them, but, like you, I'd like them a little darker naturally. I don't think I'd be interested in a lipstick color. I'm too fickle! I'll wait for Livie's reply about her color. |

To be honest and answer your question about the color, I have to say, no, you won't achieve a natural look because it looks like you have lipstick on. I had nice lips already, no offense taken, but me being obsessed with plumpers and volume, I wanted her to make my lips look bigger with my permanent lipstick color. I've got like a pink plum color, I'm quite happy with it and never get bored of it, but if you want that natural flush look, I suggest you stick with gloss. What you can also do to be certain is ask one of the people who do permanent makeup in your area whether you can acieve a natural look with a very light pink color...natural to me is having nothing on...so if you put anything on your face with regards to makeup it's unnatural...Just a thought... |

Yeah, of course you're right. I just wish my natural color was a little darker. I can't really go without lipstick. - Oh well, I've been using the one of the smashbox lipstains, and it actually matches my natural lipcolor really well and doesn't really look like I have anything on. I was just hoping for something a little more permanent. I may go ahead and ask around. |

Hi all, I'm a total newbie on lip plumpers and most of everyone seem to be raving about Lip Fusion.
My question is do I need to get both Lip Fusion and Lip Fusion XL to continue a full day and night lip plumping regime or is either one of these products good enough as a standalone. I am Asian (Chinese) and while I don't particularly have 'chicken' lips, they aren't luscious and pouty either
Thanks and any advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers to all |

The man at Sephora told me that I only really need the Lip Fusion XL. I don't see why you would need the other one... This one is glossy and I wear it during the day. |

Thanks Lucinda. Was thinking I'd do that - but what do you reckon about Fusion's Lip Plumpers with color?
Has anyone tried these - do they work the same way? |

Yah know, I think I might have to give Lip Fusion XL another try. Maybe, just maybe I didn't use it correctly, or for long enough. Surely I can't be sooo unlucky as for it to not do anything for me at all? It might be a good complement to my HA tablets and my lip pump! A little extra help never hurt anyone. |

The one's with colour aren't as potent. That's why they are about $10 cheaper. |

Costco had a 2 pack of this stuff for $38 I think, I was going to get it but wanted to come back and read reviews, maybe I'll go for it then.
Can't remember if it was XL or not though. |

I bought the little Lip Injection kit thingy last night. It's supposed to have a cumulative effect, so we'll see what happens.
Ulta employees are never terribly nice to me. Anyone else have that problem? |
