Hi everyone
First I would like to say this is a great site and I'm glad to have found it. I look forward to purchasing and posting
Next, could someone please recommend a system for 32 year old combination skin that is very acne-prone, dehydrates easily, but is very sensitive (can't use alcohol, lots of acids/silicones/perfume). I would prefer all the products to come from one line just because I'm tired of mixing and matching. I was most interested in Sothys or Dr Renaud, are these appropriate and does one suit my type of skin more than the other? I've tried DDF, MD formulations, Cellex C, Decleor, PTR, Kinerase and they didn't work for my skin. All responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you! |

Hi SPF,
Welcome to the site !!! I love Phytomer as their facial and body treatments are based on 100% natural marine active agents. I don't have sensitive, acne-prone skin, but would like to suggest that you look into the Phytomer Purifying Corrective and their Accept line that is geared towards your skin type. Their products tend to have a very calming effect on reactive skin, and are quite reasonably priced for French spa products. I'm so glad that I can buy Phytomer here on EDS as they are only sold in few exclusive salons here in Sydney at ridiculous prices (import taxes I know)
I turned 30 this year and have normal/ combo skin that tends to get dehydrated as well and Phytomer products have really helped me keep that in check. I tend to be like you in that I prefer to use one line instead of mixing, although that is not always the case as my friends here are always tempting me to try other things especially when you hear good feedback for a product.
Goodluck finding the right line for your skin, if you need help the therapists at EDS are fantastic, just email them or give them a phone call.

Hi!
I use Dr. Renaud products and I like them very much. But, I have very dry, sensitive skin and I don't know if Dr. Renaud would be good for acne prone skin as they are very rich, moisturizing and nourishing. Most of the products are also perfume free which is something I really like. I have repurchased many of Dr. Renaud's skin care products but I do not have the expertise to say whether or not they are good for acne prone skin. |

I don't know too much about the suggested products. I do however high recommend GlyMed Serious Action line. I saw amazing results on clients who used this line for acne.
I noticed there are sites you can buy on line (not suppose to be sold on line). I would suggest going to the GlyMed homepage and find a salon in your area who sells these products. Best that a skincare professional helps you get products right for you. It is a wonderful line if you are interested.
Good luck!!! |

Hi Leeleedeedee
I remember that we have similar skin type - dry and sensitive. I am looking to trying out something new. Can you share with me what products you are using from the Dr Renaud's line?
Thks

Hi Jenny,
Yes, I also remember that we have similar skin types.
One of my favourite Dr. Renaud products is their daytime moisturizer called "Clariderm." (I like to use Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream at night.) The Clariderm is very rich, mosturizing and keeps the skin well hydrated and supple all day long no matter what climate you're in. But, what I like best about it is that it has a UVB filter to protect the skin against hyperpigmentation. It doesn't get rid of existing hyperpigmentation but prevents new ones from forming. I have repurchased about three tubes of this moisturizer.
Two other good moisturizers are their "Tolerance" and "Double Action Humectant & Protective Cream" these are just super for dry, mature, sensitive, fragile skin as they keep the face well moisturized throughout the day and they are protective creams against the climate but they do not contain any sunscreen.
Dr. Renaud also has some great cleansers for dry, sensitive skin. I have tried "Dermazulene Cleansing Milk" and the "Collagen Milk" they are great, remove make-up, are gentle, non irritating and perfume free (so are the moisturizers.) I have noticed that Dr. Renaud has come out with some new cleansing milks for very dry, sensitive skin that I haven't yet tried but will in the future.
My opinion is that Dr. Renaud's products are really fantastic. None have ever irritated my skin in any way and, for my dry, mature, ultra sensitive, fragile skin they are great. But, so is my Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream. When I wear that one at night it gives a lovely glow to my skin. Hope this helps you. |

Hello Leeleedeedee
Thks for the speedy reply.
You definitely pointed me to an entirely new option - to be honest - I have not looked at Dr Renaud seriously. Looks like I have some serious research to do tonite.
Thks, you have been most informative!

Hi spf!
I'm 30 with dehydrated normal-combination skin. I tend to get blackheads and impurities in my t-zone. I actually found the Babor 2-step cleansing oil to be rally good for a deep cleansing without stripping my skin. They also have a lot of other nice products like eye creams and a really nice rose toning lotion. |
