ok, i need some advice.
i'm mid-20's with oily skin prone to acne once a month.
I usually have a really simple routine of washing my face with Spectrojel and then use PanOxyl(benzoyl peroxide gel 5%) on my zits. In the mornings, I occasionally put on Marcelle's oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15.
I went to this mini-facial at a health store that used Dr. Hauschka products, and I decided to try the rhythmic Night conditioner and the Normalizing oil.
I've been using it for almost a week and I'm breaking out way more than usual. So I figured maybe I need to use the whole Dr. Hauschka line? So I ordered the cleanser and toner and am waiting for that to arrive.
(Now I cleanse with Spectrogel and then use normalizing oil in am, and then pm, wash with spectrogel and then use night amp)
But in the meantime, should i continue to use the night conditioner and normalizing oil?
Is this normal? Does anyone else have experience with these products? How long should I try out these products for? |

Oh definitely continue to use it!
What you're experiencing happens with a lot of products--your skin gets so medicated (even though your routine is very simple), that it gets congested. Dr. Hauschka products de-congests the skin, which causes the breakouts.
So your problem skin right now is normal. Just give it time, and it will calm down.
Now, if your skin does not clear up after a certain about of time (the night conditioner is supposed to speed things up, I think), then you might want to reconsider the brand. I don't know how long you should wait, though...Mebsy, any one else? Know how long Bubbly should stick with this routine? I know a lot of other forum members use Hauschka products, and they can probably give you more and better advice than me. |

I agree, I think you should stick with it, or at least with the night rhythmic conditioner. When I started using Dr H stuff I also had a few pimples come up (quite unusual for me) but they cleared right up. I don't know long long you should wait. I guess maybe two to three weeks? At that stage if things have not improved then I would cut out the normalising oil and just continue with the ampules. Just my opinion though |

thanks for the replies. I will continue using the products for probably the next month and see what happens.
My family doctor yesterday gave me some samples of Differin to test out as well, so I'll try that on one part of the face...
Will report later to say how the experiment turns out! |
