Hi, i have a few questions. I was wondering what product(s) would be best for the following
1) New scars. I will soon be having two keloid scars removed and left with fine line scars. What product will be best for them.
2) Old scars. I have a few old scars that are small (less than the size of a pencil eraser) on my arms and are slightly raised, maye 1-2mm and they are white.
3) Also what is the best way to remove moles. I have been told by many cosmetic doctors it is either the co2 laser or radio surgery.
Thanks |

Welcome to the forum, SS29.
1) I think the best way to treat new scars is applying emu oil or pure vitamin E oil morning and evening.
2) Topical application of silicone gel is one of the best treatments for raised scars. It has been shown to flatten and smooth scars to some extent. The hypo-pigmentation is hard to improve. If you are willing to invest some time and pain to get rid of the scars, you might consider dermarolling with 1.5 mm needles. Dermarolling can break up old collagen and promote new collagen growth. I am currently treating similar scars with Dermaroller, but it's too early to see any results. There's a long thread about Dermaroller on the DIY-forum. Here's some information on rolling scars from Dermarollers.com.

3) I don't know anything about laser treatments of moles, but have recently been treating five moles with the DIY mole treatment from itworkspaste.com. Before considering this method, one must make sure that the moles are not pre-cancerous. Here's a thread about mole removal in general and some people's experiences with itworkspaste:
