I was wondering if anyone has a tried and true DEET-free insect replellant? I am currently being swarmed with bugs to the point where I can't go outside for more than 5 minutes. I have been trying Druide Citronella Moisterising Milk and it seemed to work one day but not the next.
PLEASE HELP! |

The best cheap and effective bug repellent is Avon's Skin So Soft. Get it and use it. The repelling of bugs is an "unexpected consequence" of the moisturizer, but all the campers and carpenters I know depend on it. It's no urban myth. |

A couple of year's ago, I discovered by accident that All Terrain's Aloe Skin Relief provides excellent protection from insects. It's like wearing a bug forcefield shield. The little buggers can be all over, but they will stay at least 2 inches from skin with All Terrain. It's amazing. The key is the combination of lavender and some other herbs. Check out the healthy ingredients:

Repel Lemon and Eucalyptus spray is supposed to be really good too. People say they use it on their dogs and it works very well... |

Do any of you know of a repellent that lasts at least 2-3 hours w/o DEET? I read somewhere that natural oils only last about 20 minutes when you are outdoors...But that's just not enough time especially for some people who stay outdoors in woodsy areas..
A friend of mine said that there is an Off spray w/o Deet, but I wonder how effective that is? |
