Hello, My first post here...I think.
When I use products containing HA my skin looks shiny and feels sticky all day & slightly tight.
But what really bothers me is that it seems to deflate my face under my skin -- if that makes any sense. In other words my skin is moist (albeit sticky) but my face look deflated, tired & shiny.
This of course is the opposite of the effect I desire. (duh!)
I'd rather plump the contours of my 50 something face (duh again!)
I have not used straight HA serum because of the experience I have with products containing it. But maybe serums act differently. I don't know.
I wondered if anyone else gets this effect from HA??
Thanks very much for listening -- and hopefully posting a reply?? |

HA serum made me shiny too. I'm going to try using it again in the winter. Maybe I'll just use it at night. |

I find when I use HA my skin is more dehydrated. Kept thinking it was because the climate was so dry, the HA was pulling the moisture out of my skin! I don't like using products with it for that reason. |

I have never had good luck with HA. It beads up on my skin and it has never moisturized. So, another product that will sit in my cabinet |

Don't know but wonder if it is the HA or something else in the product. Also, I think many people use emu oil over HA to help push it into the skin versus lying there on the surface.
You might try taking HA internally instead. I like the HA with Biocell Collagen II combo - a number of supplement companies put out (Nature's Way Hydraplenish, Vitamin Shoppe Biocell, NSI, etc.). BTW, often you'll find them in the joint help section and not the beauty section of health food stores. |
