I have a cluster of braille like dots/spots on the back of my hand. I'm pretty certain it's not ringworm, as I've seen dermatology photographs of that.
It began when I received a sample of a foundation from a pharmacy I buy many products from in the UK. I already own the foundation but not in that shade, so I opened the little pot and applied a little to the back of my hand. 10 minutes later, a couple of little dots appeared. They healed and then a couple more appeared in the cluster I have now.
I apologise for having asking about this on here but I don't want to hassle my gp about such a non life threatening disorder if someone can instantly recognise what this small skin problem might be. Do these symptoms ring a bell to anyone? Should I get the sample pot analysed by a lab? I'm hopping mad that I've caught something that looks like a cluster of small warts from something they've sent to me, ironically, something that's supposed to improve the appearance of one's skin. The backs of my hands have previously always been smooth, healthy and wart free.  |

When I get excema on my hand, I get tiny bumps (that have a watery substance inside). Does it itch? Have you tried a cortisone cream?
I don't know, you may want to see your GP. It's probably okay, though, and I'm sorry it happened to you  |

Perhaps it is excema, would it appear just in one small concentrated patch? It's about the size of a fingernail?
I have a feeling that it must be some sort of contact allergy to appear so soon after trying a foundation on that exact patch of hand. Either that or someone else had dipped their finger in it and passed some sort of fungal infection onto me. Urgghh. I did put some Fungus Fix on it a few weeks ago, it stung, then seemed to heal and the skin became very taut and shiny there and now it's reappeared again. I'm consciously not showing that hand much until it goes.  I think I will see a doctor, just to be on the safe side. |

Hi, Camelia.
This sounds like an instant allergic reaction to me. You have most likely reacted to some of the ingredients in the cream. I am quite confident that the spots will disappear if you give them some more time to heal without applying anything.
Boring answer... I know. I wish I had a miracle potion to suggest. Good luck.  |
