About a month ago, I got a huge pimple on my cheekbone, underneath my eye. I very rarely break out, but get the occasional zit here and there. This pimple left a flat red mark on my cheek, which i understand is a scar or acne spot, and is bothering me so much! Does anyone have any remedies for this?
I hear vitamin c, vitamin e oil, tea tree oil, and retinoids (which i'm not very familiar with)will help but i have no idea where to start. I just want this red mark gone! TIA<3 |

I had a similar thing happen on my forehead. I;ve found Rose Hip oil has reduced the scar a fair bit. Kosmea makes a good organic one and so does A'kin and they both cost about $18. It does take time though. I've ben using them for about a year now. it hasn't faded the scar totally but it is definitely a whole lot less visible. I will use it for another year and if it is still visible I may consider laser.
Give the rose hip oil a try. |

Any product with hydroquinone should work. You can 4% over the counter, just apply it 2 times a day...morning and night. Make sure you wear sunscreen or the marks will come back. It fades acne marks, freckles, sun spots etc. Obagi uses it in the Nu Derm clear and sun fader products. You can go to a derm and just get the generic one for much cheaper. |
