She has several of them and they are very dark. Her family Doctor said there is nothing that can be done. She is self conscious of them. Does anyone know of anything that works to eliminate or significantly diminish them? Thanks.

If they are new you may have some success with retin-a, otherwise laser is the best option. Stretch marks are very difficult to treat and depending on how bad they are often its impossible to get 100% complete resolution.
Try setting up a couple of consults at places that do laser, usually a derm or plastic surgeons office.
You may also want to look into derma-roller. There is a very long thread over at the DIY folder.
Also since she is still growing it might be wise to wait on any treatment. |

We have a dermatologist. I will set up a consult to see what she says. They do laser there. I have a dermaroller on the way for myself but I don't think she would want to use one. The dermaroller would probably work well but may be too much discomfort for her.
Thanks

You can try EpidermxII and Chrysalyx from greatskin dot com. They have a package called "The Stretch Mark Buster" and the before/after pictures look amazing. I am using the products on my face and really like the results. Good Luck |
